I am new to this site, and I am certain this issue has been brought up at some point, but I want to address it again.

We have to do something to get the folks at Paramount Home Video to release clean, respectable quality DVDs of "The Lucy Show". As I see it, right now Paramount could use a hit DVD release following the poor sales of "Happy Days" and "Laverne & Shirley" on DVD. Not only "The Lucy Show" but "The Beverly Hillbillies" are two shows Paramount owns and can easily release on DVD, but have failed to do so. These are two wonderful shows that are continually released by obscure media companies who have the audacity to charge a hefty price for poor quality releases of these shows. It is a shameful disgrace and we should band together to do it.

Any ideas on the first step?

I have the entire LUCY SHOW series on 26 DVDs for $100 which includes shipping. Included are duplicate versions of certain episodes with original commercials, so the DVDs run about 165-170 episodes total.

THANKS.

I agree with you ethelmaepotter, 100 percent. Paramount is getting great with classics as it's about to release Phil Silvers, Season 6 of Lucy, Andy Griffith and Hillbillies with some other nostalgic shows to follow, I am sure! Lucy Show will probably start getting official releases sometime after I Love Lucy is done.

I imagine the hour long Lucy's will be next, one can only hope that they will be released as the original Lucille Ball-Desi Arnaz Shows including the first one being its original 75 minutes. If not, then there is the chance for some great bonus material with that series.

Once the hour shows are released, I think an official The Lucy Show DVD's will be on the way.

I'd love to see the series out as much as anyone else, but if it comes out now and the market is flooded with Lucy items, it makes it difficult to sell more. Plus, you don't want to exhaust all the Lucy properties at one time.
