hello i have a question, did the partridge family ever have a lost pilot episode or was the first episode the pilot

From what I've heard, the pilot that we've seen is the original pilot, but it had a few scenes removed. Since Shirley's first name was Connie originally, the pilot removed all references to her name being Connie. Also, there was allegedly a lost tag scene where "Connie" had a love interest played by none other than Jack Cassidy. It would've been great to have that scene included in the season 1 DVDs, but the season 1 set was pretty good in its own right. Also, because Shirley was originally Connie, my first edition of "The Encyclopedia of Prime-Time Network TV Shows" lists the character as "Connie Partridge", since the authors based their first edition on network publicity materials.
