The WWE has had several shakeups over the past few days:
First, both Kane and Edge got injured over the past week, where it is uncertain if both will be able to perform effectively at the PPV tomorrow night. Kane's injury is more severe as he may need major back surgery.
Christian apparently has quit the WWE due to lack of push/money issues, he had been very unhappy ever since his jump to Smackdown this past summer with lack of air time, major push, etc. He also was recently granted a new contract, however rumor has it WWE wanted him to sign it on the spot without reviewing it completely. Apparently Christian refused to sign the new contract and has left the company. He however did agree to work Raw earlier tonight and tomorrow night's Taboo Tuesday if he is needed. But his bio has already been removed from WWE.com.
Stone Cold Steve Austin apparently is extremely upset with WWE, he learned over the weekend that the WWE planned for Jonathan Coachman to defeat Steve Austin clean at the Taboo Tuesday PPV. This extremely upset Austin, similiar to Austin leaving the WWE for a year back in 2002 when the WWE wanted then newcomer Brock Lesnar to defeat Austin. Austin apparently told Vince McMahon this past weekend he would not work the PPV unless he had creative control in this match. McMahon apparently refused since Austin is off Taboo Tuesday. Steve Austin was also extremely upset that the WWE had no plans of bringing back Jim Ross even if Austin went over Coach at the PPV. Last night on Raw, Vince McMahon explained that Steve Austin had an "accident", not even mentioning what kind of accident. He then said that Coach would take on a Smackdown superstar at Taboo Tuesday which led to Batista accepting the challenge. This makes any more appearances for Austing highly unlikely until Wrestlemania, and now I would say those plans are definately in the air as well since it is only about 5 months away.
Big Van Vader and Goldust also made returns to the WWE last night on Raw. Both stars are very well known from there days in WCW and the WWE. Goldust has held multiple titles in both organizations, and was last seen in the WWE in 2003. Big Van Vader also made his return, the first since 1998, he is most known for holding the WCW World title for the better part of 1992 and also for a semi-successful WWE run during ht mid 90s. However, judging from my personal opinion, I doubt he will be around for long due to his weight and age, plus his weight is what led to his release in 1998..
Torrie Wilson has also officially been released. This one had been rumored for quite awhile as she was very disliked among certain circles within WWE. Apparently Torrie Wilson was sent home last week and she was removed from all future programs for reasons unclear. She was officially released today. She apparently was one of the many talents set to be released this past June, however the WWE changed there minds, she recently was receiving somewhat of a push, because she had been featured in numerous promos for the USA Network and was recently traded to Raw and had seen more airtime than she had in a longtime during her Smackdown days.
