"Hizzonner The Penguin" (prod. #9719-Pt. 1) first aired @ 7:30 p.m. (EDT) on ABC as the 51st episode of Batman.
Joe Besser (The Collector in the black suit and derby hat) was best remebered for being the second Curly replacement, Joe, in The Three Stooges. During shooting of this episode, Frank Sinatra visited this set, but never appeared in any episode of Batman. (Interestingly, it was Sinatra who wanted to be cast as The Joker!)
Paul Revere & The Raiders' presence in this episode marked the second appearance of any rock group in a sitcom (right after The Monkees).

Don Wilson (Klondike) was Jack Benny's famous announcer of the 1940s and '50s. Dennis James (Chumley) and Allen Ludden (Dooley) were emcees of the famous game shows PDQ (syndicated, 1965-70) and Password (CBS, 1961-67), respectivley, at the time of this episode's telecast.
Walter Klondike is a spoof of Walter Kronkite. Chet Chumley and David Dooley are amalgams of Chet Huntley and David Brinkley, respectively; they even go so far as to usurp their famous closing line: "Goodnight, David!" "Goodnight, Chet!"

"The Ogg And I" (prod. #1705-Pt. 1) first aired @ 7:30 p.m. (EDT) on ABC as the 102nd episode of Batman.
We learn here that Alf once worked for The Earl Of Chutney, and Olga used to be a dishwasher at a Bessarovian restaurant.
The late Alan Hale Jr.'s portrayal of Gilligan in this episode is in reference to another show for which he is famous: the 1964-67 CBS sitcom Gilligan's Island (as Jonas Grumby, The Skipper!).
The late Anne Baxter, debuting here as Olga, Queen Of The Cossacks, portrayed Zelda The Great in the series' first season. Her final TV role was that of Victoria Cabot on Hotel (ABC, 1983-88), which also starred Batman guest star James Brolin.
