Does anyone happen to have the Series on tape or anything? Just curious. Or any eps at all?

I was thinking you might, Nitcrt1. ;) (lol) You seem to know the Series very well to me. (Not that others don't, you were just the first person that 'popped' into my head to figure you had some tapes, perhaps)

I was thinking most people here probably did, since you all love or like the show and things... but was just wondering as well.

Too bad it wasn't on twice last night, I was a little angry about that, but oh well. I really wanted to try adn tape "Fire" last night on it's second time around...oh well. And also I had a *huge* feeling something between Harry and Christine would happen, lol. Very logic for the plot summary of the episode. I really liked this one too. :)

To answer your question, yes I do have a boat load of episodes on tape.
As for my knowledge on the series, "Night Court" is probably the only series I absolutely loved. I could never miss it and I've seen episodes a hundred times. I retain a lot of senseless information from the show. I do have to say that there are others on this board who knew somethings that I did not. Therefore, I learned a thing or too. We're all lucky to have this many knowledgable fans out there.


As for the "Fire" episode, wasn't that great how Harry and Christine "resolved" their conflict. I love it when Bull comes over to Harry and says, "Sir, sir we're saved!" Then Harry looks down at Christine then back at Bull and says, "Are you sure." (lol) Harry and Christine always has the best arguments.

I have season one on dvd and alot of the rest on tape. Like nitcrt1, this is one of my all time favorite shows and love being able to go back on watch an certain episode.

Taped a few as a teenager when it was on WGN, got a few off Lifetime, got about 100 off A&E, and have about 50 so far DVR'd off TV Land. I shall be set for life should Warner (and I'm sure they will) abandon plans for season 2-9.

I've been dvding the eps of TVland. I miss a day now and then, but they'll play them all again, and again, and again, so eventually I'll have them all. Now I just need to convert my Mel Torme records from vinyl to CD...

I've been TiVOing every episode and converted them to tape.
I also bought the DVD two weeks ago.

This is one of the very few sitcoms where I actually feel like the characters are real people and feel that you could actually date a guy like Dan or befriend someone like Harry in real life. I mean, the characters almost feel like family to me now.

This show is also one of the few where I don't get sick of seeing the same few episodes over and over, because there will always be little jokes I missed or that went over my head the first time, kind of like The Simpsons or Futurama (Believe it or not, there are times where I get so into the show, I forget that the Simpsons or Planet Express crew are cartoon characters).

Well, "Harry T. Stone", that's why I'm DVR-ing *now*, because of the way Nick Networks like to drop shows at the drop of a hat. Family Ties, Wings, and the Wonder Years didn't last long, so I'd grab them while I have the chance.

Actually, I missed seeing Night Court in its run when I was a little kid (I was born during the 1984-1985 season!) because my mother wasn't a fan of the show, although I do recall seeing syndicated episodes from time to time.
What I ment by "over my head" is that the show goes so fast that rewatching an episode can let me catch the little things that I missed the first time around.
Now being in my 20s, I can fully enjoy both Harry's insanity and Dan's raunchiness. :)

I have to say that I was young to when "Night Court" hit the airwaves. I actually only started to watch first run episodes beginning with the 1989-1990 season. Many jokes I did not get at that age. Now, as I am older, I get all the jokes and am hysterical laughing. No matter what age though, no matter what jokes, and no matter how many times I've seen an episode, the show is just damn funny. The personality of the characters, the mish mosh of crazy events and the whole concept of the show is what makes it entertaining no matter how old you are. (Okay...well...maybe not too young!) lol!

I was 8 when NC debuted and it was appointment tv even at that age. The blockbuster Thursday of NBC: Cosby, Family Ties, Cheers, and Night Court. Even as a kid, NC had some weird sight gag or goofy Harry stuff to keep me laughing. As an adult, Dan's jokes became more coherent and I drifted toward his character as my favorite.

I started watching "Night Court" in between our local news broadcasts when it first was in syndication. For me, I just loved Harry's boyish charm and sense of whimsy. I developed a hugh crush on him, I must say. He always made me laugh. I liked Dan too though.
