He swore he was Mr. Cool, he one time told Fred that he was a bad card player. If i can remember correctly, Fred bailed Lamont out in the Card Sharps episode when those hustlers were trying to take his money.

Yes they did in Card Sharps Skeeter Matthews Rooster and Hucklebuck took Lamont to the cleaners.
Because his cool butt knew poker better than Fred.
Everytime he saw them cheat he tried to warn Lamont but he wouldnt listen.
So they broke him then Fred who knew how Card Cheaters played got his special deck and glasses and beat them like they beat Lamont
teddybare 10-29-2005, 08:43 PM Lamonts attitude got him burnt several times. Remember the copper caper where he was gonna make all that money.
Off this copper he had bought come to find out the guy was a con man and thief and stole all their copper water pipes.
In the episode pot luck about the antique commode he was so cool gonna make all this big money off this commode and ends up getting conned out of 320 dollars 300 to the con men and the original 20 he paid it
brasspounder 10-29-2005, 11:25 PM Now you can see why Fred was always calling him "Dummy"!
kooky12 11-03-2005, 04:51 PM Let's not forget about the times Fred got conned himself !!!
Like the time he ran the contest for $500, and there wasn't supposed to be a winning ticket but a friend of the con man who sold the contest, had the winning ticket !!
Or when Fred tried to turn his business into a church, and almost had his property taken away.............
Or (maybe the worst) when he got conned by the he-she into letting him stay at the Sanford Arms, and he was actually a fence for stolen goods.
I love this show, but I say that they were equal dummies...........

Sure Fred was conned several times remember when Calvin conned him into buying that old wore out gelding race horse General Lee for breeding LOL.
But as for Fred being equal dummy as lamont I totally disagree. Fred had alot of street smarts that Lamont was really lacking in.
The main thing we need to remember no matter who was conned they always worked together to straighten the mess they were in out.
Michael72581 11-30-2005, 03:12 PM Here's one time when Fred got conned himself. In Season 5 Episode # 101 "Can You Chop This?", Fred saw a commercial for a get rich quick scheme called Whopper Choppers and decided to give it a try by investing in it with the money Lamont was saving for acting school. Fred gets his supply of Whopper Choppers and now he must sell them. Unfortunately, he has a hard time selling them.

But he is smart enough to end up on top of the whopper chopper guy. By going on the cavorting conisseur embarrasses him forcing him to pay him 205 bucks 30 more than it cost him.
and had enough to pay for Lamonts acting course.

I wasnt that bad an episode it wasnt a great one but i wouldnt say it was awful. I laughed my butt off at Fred and Hutch at the tv studio especially when fred tells that real ugly fat woman who keeps standing up hollering I WILL.
When the host asks for someone to eat with him on air and Fred tells her you need to sit down and shut up & go on a diet & lose some weight lmao
