yeah, it did sound corny. funny how i never noticed that until you brought this thread up. yep, it didn't sound right. I guess the intent was to have JJ be excited abt being asked by a girl that isn't in his "league". He is used to girls from his neighborhood...this was the first girl who was rich, who came from a family that was well-to-do. I can see him being excited that a girl of her caliber wanted to go out with him.
