I'm just wondering, because I don't. I find it funny how they won the series hours ago, and still nobody has posted anything about it. I personally didn't watch any of the games. Anyway, even though it doesn't seem like too many people are interested, I want to say Congratulations Chicago, on being the 2005 World Series Champions!! The curse is finally broken!!

The only reason I care that the Sox won is because I told a group of friends last week that they would sweep the series, and now I look like I know something about sports.

I rule!

Well it's good to see that someone cares. Seeing that absolutely nobody posted about it, made me think that all Chicago fans disappeared or something. I am glad for all you fans though. Like the Red Sox fans, it's nice seeing another so called curse be broken. I really do think that the Chicago Cubs are going to win the World Series next year. That would just make perfect sense, and would make for a perfect ending to the nightmare that those three teams have had to deal with for so many years.

i watched the series. I wanted Houston to win only because they had NEVER won. I am a Dodger fan. I bleed Dodger Blue. *Irene wishes for a dodger dog with tons of mustard right now*

same here, I was rooting for Houston to win as well... Brandon Backe did pitch one hell of a game to, it was good to see a potential great pitchen in the making... but the White Sox were just the better team and congrats to them for winning the World Series and ending there long drought.

As a Chicago native, it was nice to see them win although I am more of a Cubs fan.

2006 will be the year of the Cubs! First, the Red Sox ended their long drought then the White Sox... now it is the Cubs turn.

As a Cubs fan though, this I would think would eat you up considering you are the only team left that has a long championship drought.

I think it had to do with it being a sweep. The drama was taken out of the series when Houston couldn't win a game. If it'd gone 6 or 7 games I bet there would have been more immediate discussion about the winner once the series was over. It's cool for the White Sox though, it's been a long time for them. I didn't have a rooting interest either way though.

*snickers* Oh, sorry.

The TV ratings were way down for the series this year, so it dosen't seem like many people cared.

I'm a Cubs fan so I'd sure love to see them win next year.

I read that they were the lowest ratings of ANY World Series, which is a big shame. I watched all four games.

It would have really been nice if the Sox won the Series at home. That is the downside of getting home field advantage from winning the All-Star game the last three years. The winning team didn't win the Series at home.

Padres in 2006!

Too bad, the Yankees won't make it to the World Series this year. In fact, the White Sox did won the World Series compared to last year's Red Sox.

I'm not a baseball fan, but what I have noticed is how late the games start.

Baseball is missing out on a new generation of fans. Kids cannot stay up that late and even most adults have to get up early the next morning.
