tbriscoe 10-26-2005, 02:06 PM In 2006, Warner Home Video is releasing a compilation dvd containing 6 episodes. If the compilation sells well, WHV will release complete seasons of "Alice."
For the compilation, what episodes would you most like to see?
Do you have a list of your top 10 favorites?
JeffRuss1972 10-26-2005, 09:46 PM Where did you hear this information? I hope it's true. It'll be cool to see ALICE again. From the eps I remember, these were my top 20:

marriage — even though it's the fourth time for each

10.Mona Lisa Alice (1979)

promotional gimmick which is free meals to customers if his waitresses
don't smile.
11.Cabin Fever (1979)

On the final day at the diner, Mel closes the blinds and gives away the

jeffersonsfan 10-26-2005, 10:08 PM Oh, I so hope that is true. I'll get 100 copies if they release the whole show on DVD.
tbriscoe 10-26-2005, 11:04 PM I know this is true because I've been working as a consultant with WHV for the past year, advising on compilations for Maverick, Cheyenne, Chico and the Man, The Dukes of Hazzard, F Troop, Gilligan's Island; Friends - weddings/holidays/Thanksgivings/birthdays/"best of" each character; Family Matters, The Drew Carey Show and more.
So far for 2006, WHV is doing compilations for Alice, Step by Step & Night Court; more to come, I'm sure.

Hey Jeff,
Thanks for your list! Anyone else want to have a say in which episodes go on the compilation DVD? Just let me know what your favorites are?
Thanks
seventies_sitcoms 10-27-2005, 01:24 PM Hey Jeff,
Thanks for your list! Anyone else want to have a say in which episodes go on the compilation DVD? Just let me know what your favorites are?
Thanks
I always liked the episode where the girls have to smile all day or the customer gets their meal free, and everybody starts to get on each other's nerves. "Smile or it is a freebie!"
I also like the one where the girls have to give up something they like for some reason. Flo gives up coffee, Alice gives up chocolate, and Vera gives up cigarettes. I don't know the episode titles..
I do like the episodes about Flo's trailer being taken and the one where Flo drives the mack truck into the diner. I hope they make it.
seventies_sitcoms 10-27-2005, 01:36 PM I know this is true because I've been working as a consultant with WHV for the past year, advising on compilations for Maverick, Cheyenne, Chico and the Man, The Dukes of Hazzard, F Troop, Gilligan's Island; Friends - weddings/holidays/Thanksgivings/birthdays/"best of" each character; Family Matters, The Drew Carey Show and more.

I would like to suggest "Flo" for a DVD release if I may. I know there were only 13 episodes or something like that, but other studios have release one season sitcoms. I believe Flo would actually sell more than what people would think. I know I would buy a set. I last saw it when I was 10 years old during its original primetime run.
tbriscoe 10-27-2005, 03:05 PM I'll pass on your suggestion to WHV. Thanks for your input!
Pavan 10-27-2005, 03:39 PM We did a story on this for our news blog. Please all Alice fans post your top 10 episodes on this thread. You can make a difference. http://sitcomsonline.blogspot.com
Thanks to Tim from WHV for selecting us!
JoshB80 10-27-2005, 06:14 PM I can't give any specific episodes that I'd like to see, since it has been so long. But I am definitely in line to pick up this set of Alice shows, not matter what they may be.
(Where do I sign?)

There was the episode where the food critic (Victor Buono I think) dies while eating Mel's chili.

35. The Eyes of Texas - Flo's vanity keeps her from getting the eyeglasses she obviously needs.
41. Florence of Arabia - Flo is courted by a rich Arab (Richard Libertini) who, unknown to her, already has three wives.
44. Don't Lock Now - Mel wants to know who's stealing food and making long-distance phone calls from the diner.

seventies_sitcoms 10-28-2005, 05:28 PM If Warners would manufacture Season 1, wouldn't it save them money? I'm sure Alice sets would sell pretty good anyway. The studio wouldn't have to press the 6 episode disc. I'm sure many fans would just buy the sets anyhow.

Unfortunately, this is the way WHV wants to proceed--compilation first, and if there's enough interest (i.e., sales), then the full seasons will be released. But I'm reporting all the feedback I'm getting to WHV. Thanks for sharing your views!
byhisgrace77 10-29-2005, 12:34 PM Some of my favorite episodes of Alice are as follows.
1. The last review
2. The Accident
3. The odd couple
4. The Bundle
5. Mel's happy burger
6. The sixty minutes man
7. OH! George Burns
8. Florence of Arabia
9. Better never then late
10.The last stow it.
There are so many GREAT episodes it's hard to narrow it down. I love this show and will and could watch it everyday and over and over again without getting bored or sick of it. Please please put it on dvd, I've been waiting forever for this.Thank you so much! Whatever episodes you choose, I'm sure "Alice fans" will be truly grateful. Thank you
astro4004 10-29-2005, 12:50 PM 1. Vera The Vamp - with Diane Ladd giving Vera a makeover!
2. Mel's Happy Burger - the gang films a tv ad - I love it!
3. The Hex - with guest star Kaye Ballard!
4. Alice's Halloween Surprise - I love Halloween episodes!
5. Henry's Bitter Half - with guest star Ruth Buzzi!!!
6. Mona Lisa Alice - a great episode!!
haem85 10-29-2005, 01:23 PM My personal favorites, in chronological order (oddly, none that show off Jolene - my favorite character - front and center. I guess Mel and Vera are just very compelling characters!):
166671: That Old Back Magic : Injured Mel moves in with Alice for two weeks.
166682: Don't Lock Now : Mel and the waitresses become locked in the storeroom.
166807: Citizen Mel : Witness Mel thinks a released criminal is after him.
166951: Vera, the Vamp : Vera wants Belle to teach her how to be attractive to men.
167211: Vera Goes Out on a Limb : Vera chains herself to a tree scheduled to be cut down.
167467: Guinness on Tap : Vera tries to break a tap-dancing endurance record.
(possibly my all-time favorite)
167472: Sharples vs. Sharples : Carrie threatens to publish Mel's secret chili recipe.
167484: The Secrets of Mel's Diner : The waitresses find money hidden by the diner's builder.
167627: Mel's Dream Car : Mel finally gets his dream Porsche for only $20.
185581: Vera, the Nightbird : Vera secretly works as a sexy DJ to earn extra money.
I agree, it's really hard to narrow down a list of top 10 - pretty much every episode is great. Personally, I'd rather just buy season sets (I usually skip the best-of releases because I know I'll be buying it in full-season form anyway - and I WILL be buying season 1 of Alice), so it's good to know in this case that the production of season sets hinges on the best-of release performing well. So I'll be picking up one of those too. :)
Calhoun07 10-29-2005, 01:48 PM In 2006, Warner Home Video is releasing a compilation dvd containing 6 episodes. If the compilation sells well, WHV will release complete seasons of "Alice."
For the compilation, what episodes would you most like to see?
Do you have a list of your top 10 favorites?
I just wanted to register and say that there is no way I could ever support a best of collection. If WHV is going to guage if they should release a full season set based on how well a best of set sells, then they can count my vote with a sale out. But I wanted to cast my vote in the form of a post on here that ABSOLUTELY I would LOVE to see this show on DVD and will ONLY buy it in FULL SEASON SETS. I bought the movie last year, and have been waiting for the show to come out for a while now.
As long as it's done with care (ie..no FLIPPER DVDs) and is priced fairly (about the same price point as other older sitcoms, no more than 25.99 in store) then this would sell real well. AND NO SYNDICATION CUTS!!! Treat this show right and people will buy it!

Pavan 10-29-2005, 02:30 PM I just wanted to register and say that there is no way I could ever support a best of collection.
I understand your view. But they have explained to me why they are doing this and it does make sense: WHV proceeds with caution--i.e., issuing
a compilation as market testing--before releasing full seasons of
certain shows. Shows like "Alice" & "Family Matters" are probably not going to be the surefire seller that, say, "Friends" is. But if the compilation
sells well, WHV's potential investment in releasing full seasons is
less. So, if this sells well, WHV will commit to paying whatever it has to for music rights & residuals for their shows.
So, in other words, buy this set because it will make a big difference if we get season sets or not. And plus they are asking us fans to choose the episodes--so that is good!

1. Pilot episode
2. Th-th-th-that's all folks!
3 Oh! George Burns
4. Alice Sees the Light
Secondary Favorites:
5. My Fair Vera
6. Not With My Neice, You Don't
7/8. Alice at the Palace/Joel Grey Saves the Day (two parter)
9/10. Vera Gets Engaged/Vera's Wedding
Thanks for contributing your faves!
tbriscoe 10-29-2005, 03:55 PM My personal favorites, in chronological order (oddly, none that show off Jolene - my favorite character - front and center.
Thanks for your participation!
tbriscoe 10-29-2005, 03:56 PM 1. Vera The Vamp - with Diane Ladd giving Vera a makeover!

The first season had slightly more depth and story centering around alice, but the show was at it's corny best season 2 - 9. My hope is that they release all of season 1 - 4 - the FLO years, and then at least best of with belle and jolene.

akampfer 10-29-2005, 08:34 PM I agree with all the episodes suggested so far. However, one I remember very fondly was #122, Mel's Cousin, Wendell. This was the one when Mel's cousin came to town and develops a crush on Vera and Mel tries to help Wendell by "teaching" him the ways to win over a woman. They go on a double date with the only woman Mel can find, Alice.
71dude 10-29-2005, 08:57 PM I changed one of mine to include the final episode - that way I wouldn't have to buy the awful final season just for the one good episode.
motjrjh 10-29-2005, 10:15 PM As with almost any series, I have found farewell episodes (including the one with Flo's farewell) to make me feel sad, as if they're going away forever, and for this reason, I cannot say I want to see any of the farewell episodes on the initial DVD release of the best of Alice. I know other people feel differently.
Although I liked each cast member, Polly Holiday as Flo was my favorite of this series. Needless to say, any episode with Flo in it would be a favorite of mine!
I particularly enjoyed episode #16 "The Accident" which I found especially funny when Flo attempted to explain to Alice exactly what happened to Mel's car and how she "...left a little on each block as I went..." and how she created a new connection between two streets that didn't connect before (but did now!) Hamilton Camp guest starring was a plus.
Also, I enjoyed episode #20 "The Odd Couple" where Flo had her trailer stolen. The interaction between Flo and Alice (and Flo's telephone conversation with one of her boyfriends while staying over at Alice's) was amusing, as well as Mel's remark about the police losing and re-gaining their clubhouse (Flo's trailer).

106. Alice Locks Belle Out - As the new manager of her apartment building, Alice has the unenviable task of locking out a delinquent fellow tenant, Belle.
107. Vera Goes Out On a Limb - Vera goes out on a limb to save a century old tree in front of the diner from being cut down for a road-widening project.
I agree with this set of shows by jeffersonsfan. I hope this will put a fire under Warner Bros. butts to put out all the seasons of Alice. Lets hope so.:thanks:
atx123 10-30-2005, 11:45 AM :talk: although i really like Flo - i also like the blonde girl that replaced her (its been soooo long since i've seen the show i can't remember her name) any episodes with her would be great.
i also like the one where Flo gives up coffee, Alice gives up chocolate, and Vera gives up cigarettes.
:happyface
AustinHayes 10-30-2005, 11:53 AM In my opinion, Warner Home Video probably would like to keep this initial DVD release simple. Which means that they would like to keep the episodes with the original stars (Polly Holliday) on it. The box cover photo and credits wouldn't have to explain the cast changes to the consumer. I believe when you ask anyone about Alice, automatically the original cast comes to mind.
My top 10 favorite Alice episodes with the original cast include:
"The Accident" 1/22/1977 Episode 16
"The Hex" 2/05/1977 Episode 18
"The Odd Couple" 2/26/1977 Episode 20
"A Night to Remember" 3/05/1977 Episode 21
"Alice By Moonlight" 10/30/1977 Episode 28
"Single Belles" 11/06/1977 Episode 29
"Close Encounters of the Worst Kind" 01/22/1978 Epsidoe 37
"Block Those Kicks" 10/22/1978 Epsiode 53
"Cabin Fever" 12/2/1979 Episode 81
"Alice Beats The Clock" 01/22/1980 Episode 86
Thanks for reading!
AliceFanForever 10-30-2005, 12:50 PM I aggree with you that they should probably put out the DVD with the first season as to not to confuse some of the consumers, but the consumer that buys this DVD should probably already know a thing or two about Alice don't you think?

allflo 10-30-2005, 05:07 PM Glad to hear that Alice is coming to DVD but I am sure this would sell better by skipping this "best of" disc and going straight to the first season. Best of DVDs don't usually do well because everybody would rather see the whole series. Look at the Best of Designing Women DVD. Nobody bought it and I read that it was because fans wanted the first season and because they picked some of the most boring episodes to put on it. That aside, here are my 10 picks for my favorite Alice episodes eventhough there are so many more than this that are good also.
# 12 Mother-in-Law Pt.1 & 2
# 16 The Accident
# 18 The Hex
# 22 Mel's Cup
# 46 The Bus
# 53 Block those Kicks
# 54 What Happened to the Class of '78
# 74 Mona Lisa Alice
# 84 Good Buddy Flo
# 86 Alice Beats the Clock
Hope some of these make it and I will definately buy this disc if it helps to get season 1 in my hands later on.

alicefan01 11-01-2005, 01:40 AM Ok, Alice was my all time favorite show growing up! I loved it and it brings back so many fond memories for me, especially those trips to Arizona to visit my sister. I always wanted to go to Mels diner to visit the girls. I have several episodes on Video (with commericials and edited-out parts), but if Alice came to DVD, I could finally die a happy man! Ok, 10 episodes huh, well, here are my top ten favorites:
1.) A Piece of the Rock-Alice finds the beneficiary of her husbands life insurance policy.
2.) Sex Education-Alice finds out Tommy is taking sex education
3.) The Last Review-A food critic dies while eating a bowl of Mel's chili
4.) The Accident-Flo wrecks Mel's car while it is in Alices care
5.) A Semi-Merry Christmas-The gang takes a semi to Colorado for Christmas
6.) Close Encourters of the Worst Kind-The staff lands in hot water when they begin to tell each other what they don't like about one another.
7.) The Last Stow-It (pt1 and 2) Mel sells the diner and then has big regrets
8.) Block Those Kicks- Everyone at the diner decides to kick their bad habits
9.) The Secret of Mels Diner- The gang finds thousands of dollars in the diner after reading about the original owners habit of stashing money in the walls.
10.) The Robot Wore Pink- The girls quit the diner after a robot takes over their duties and then goes birzirk in the dining room.
Actually, they are all my favorites, but these are my most favorite episodes.
alicefan01 11-01-2005, 01:55 AM This show was my favorite growing up and reminds me of our spring break trips to Phoenix when I was young. I have several video tapes of this show, but to have it come out on DVD (minus the commercials and butchered editing) would be a dream come true!!!! Here are my ten all time favorite episodes:
A Piece of the Rock-Alice discovers her husbands life insurance beneficiary
Sex Education-Alice finds out Tommy is taking sex education at school
The Last Review-A food critic dies in the diner while eating a bowl of chili
The Accident-Flo wrecks Mel's car while it is in Alices care.
A Semi Merry Christmas-Mel drives the girls to Colorado for Christmas
Close Encounters of the Worst Kind-The gang shares their true feelings about one another which begins to ruin business at the diner
The Last Stow It (Parts 1 and 2) Mel sells the diner and then has big regrets
The Secret of Mel's Diner-After learning the original owner of the diner was known for hiding money in walls, the gang discovers thousands hidden in the diner.
Block Those Kicks-Everyone tries to kick their bad habits, but ends up switching vices.
The Robot Wore Pink-After Mel hires a robot to wait tables, all the girls quit leaving Mel with a real mess.
Ok, there they are, and it was sooooo hard to decide on a top ten. LONG LIVE ALICE!!

Thanks, but all you fans who responded actually did all my work for me.
Here's the final vote tally for the most popular episodes:
Block Those Kicks - 20
A Semi-Merry Christmas - 14
Pilot - 11
The Odd Couple - 11
Cabin Fever - 11
Flo's Farewell - 11
Close Encounters of the Worst Kind -10
Th-Th-Th-That's All, Folks! - 10
The Last Review - 9
The Accident - 9
The Hex - 9
Alice Beats The Clock - 9
That's a total of 12 episodes. However, I can only submit 10 recommendations, so, after consulting your esteemed news blogger, Pavan Badal, I regretfully eliminated "The Accident" and the series finale--"Th-Th-Th-That's All, Folks!"
The series finale would probably have been rejected by WHV anyway, since it's a "clip show," with clips from other episodes. These episodes cost more due to increased residuals to all the actors, directors, producers, etc. involved in the episodes from which the clips were taken.
I want to thank everyone at Sitcoms Online for all their help on "Alice," and I have promised Pavan an "exclusive" when the 6 episodes are finally chosen for the compilation DVD.
I look forward to working with Sitcoms Online again in the near future; it was a great experience for me personally. Best regards to all!
Pavan 11-02-2005, 10:11 PM Thank you Tim for thinking of the Alice fans with this wonderful idea and also thanks for choosing Sitcoms Online. Looking forward to work with you on future projects!
I hope all Alice fans will be happy with this set--as you the fans did pick the episodes. Be sure to buy this set because it will make a BIGGGG difference if season sets come out or not.

It's not ridiculous to "test" the waters before going to the expense of releasing full seasons. It's a smart business decision in the face of some staggering flops that WHV has released in the past 18 months, including Season 1 of both "Night Court" and "Everwood." The DVD market, which had been seeing growth rates of 20% a year, is flat, with sales having levelled off everywhere. According to the DVD Release Report -- an industry newsletter -- 50,936 titles have already been released on DVD, flooding the market with product and giving consumers virtually unlimited purchase options.
Also, perhaps you haven't been reading the newspaper, but Warner Bros. has cut its Burbank workforce by 6%. Ths studio is cutting back on expenses in every division based on diminished expectations for its soft 2005/06 TV slate, its 2006 Theatrical Feature slate, and DVD sales.
I can't even begin to address your "Doris Day" issue. MPI Home Video is a tiny company with a modest catalog and limited DVD release schedule (check out their Web site). For them Doris Day was probably a coup. For Warner Home Video, which draws from the largest catalog of TV shows of any major studio, deciding what to release -- especially when fans want their shows, and they want them NOW! -- is a careful business decision based on a basic marketing plan that includes market testing.

Wow! I didn't realize Night Court flopped out. I always thought it was a pretty big show. I guess maybe the fanbase for it has tapered off through the years. I hope it isn't the same case with Alice. I do remain confident that the show has more fans than most people may think.
Tbriscoe I hope you don't mind me asking this, but isn't the late 80s-early 90s Adventures of Superboy live action series a Warners show? I have several comic book fanatic friends who would love to see this show released.
AliceFanForever 11-10-2005, 02:04 PM I agree with you totally. Why test Alice on DVD when there are so many other Sitcoms already out there not even worthy of being on DVD. Alice has waited to long to be on DVD. To quote you Release Alice season 1 Now!

No, "Superboy" was never ours; it was produced by Paramount Television, and Viacom--its parent company--now holds all the rights.
wonderboy30 11-11-2005, 09:27 PM Tbriscoe - I appreciate your information and reply to my posting. The market IS bombarded with tons of tv dvds. I think it gets people excited b/c of the unlimited possibilities of having their "old favorites" back again whenever they want them. A show such as "Alice" was on so long and obviously it had a substantial fan base to last that long, so wouldn't you think those same fans would want it all over again? If WB doesn't produce it.. it's like ok i'll never get to see that show again EVER! Which is such a sad sad thought.

Michael,
I would not despair about "Alice" or any other show that you love that is not currently available on DVD for two reasons. One, there is a finite number of TV series in WB's library, and my feeling is that eventually every show will be released. Two, there are other emerging media, such as SVOD, subscription video on demand, where programming will be available. In the next few years you'll be able to download just about anything in the WB library for a modest fee. In fact, starting in January, you'll be able to download 14,000 episodes from WB series as varied as "Chico and the Man," "Growing Pains," "Pinky and the Brain," "Lois & Clark," "The Fugitive," "Falcon Crest" and "Babylon 5" at AOL.

After I posted my response about "Superboy," I stumbled across an online petition that claims Warner Bros. has some kind of lien against the producers that is preventing the DVD release of the series. I checked with WHV; they didn't know what I was talking about. I also found an offer for the series on DVD--one catch: you have to buy all four seasons ($90). Here's the link: http://www.mediaenterprises.tv/store/product.php?productid=16326

I have also seen that petition. I wonder how people get these ideas in their heads.
I've noticed that Amazon has added a PG-13 rating symbol on their Alice page. Does that mean the DVD is coming soon? They also state that they will be displaying a correct release date. I think right now it says December 31, 1969 is the release date??
wonderboy30 11-21-2005, 11:35 AM Alice is listed on Amazon.com which means it is coming out, there is an error on the date as with OTHER titles I've searched for. There is now a disclaimer that states they are aware of the error in the release date and it will be corrected soon! A key that i've learned about Amazon if it comes up on a search but isn't available.. IT IS coming! I'm anxiously awaiting the correction so I can mark my calendar.

hoosierelvisfan 11-21-2005, 12:32 PM Dear Tbriscoe,
I realize that this is OT in that it is not about "Alice" but you seem so knowledgable about behind the scenes info, I thought perhaps you might know something about this:
Do you know if Warner Brothers owns the Bowery Boys movie series and, if so, do they plan to release any of the BB movies in 2006???????
You might not know about any of this, but you seem so knowledgable, I thought it might be worth a shot.
Signed,
Respectfully,

CeeBO 11-22-2005, 09:33 AM I noticed that the sign up's for "Rhoda" and "Maude" also have this bogus release date and disclaimer. I think our collective chains are being yanked. I am more than ready for all three shows on dvd...!

tbriscoe 11-29-2005, 04:47 PM Dear Tbriscoe,
I realize that this is OT in that it is not about "Alice" but you seem so knowledgable about behind the scenes info, I thought perhaps you might know something about this:
Do you know if Warner Brothers owns the Bowery Boys movie series and, if so, do they plan to release any of the BB movies in 2006???????
You might not know about any of this, but you seem so knowledgable, I thought it might be worth a shot.
Signed,
Respectfully,
Dutch
I've been on vacation . . .
To answer your question about the Bowery Boys, WHV has acquired rights to 3 Bowery Boys films: Bowery Boys Meet the Monsters (1954); High Society (1955); and Up in Smoke (1957), but so far has not released them and has not set release dates.
hoosierelvisfan 11-30-2005, 10:37 AM Dear Tbriscoe,
Thank you very much for your info and taking time to answer this question for me. Your kindness is very much appreciated.
Signed,
Respectfully,
Dutch

Wow I can't believe it's gonna take em 6 months to produce this DVD!?
seventies_sitcoms 12-19-2005, 03:52 PM I expect they have to do some restoring and and other things before they can produce the disc. I still wish it was the first season.
Kazza 12-30-2005, 01:57 PM I would love to see 'The Cuban Connection'
Beavis 01-04-2006, 07:40 PM I Love Alice!
bellshock 01-08-2006, 03:59 AM I'd like to See ALL the Episodes Released on DVD as Season Sets, just as they would any other TV Series that are now being put on DVD. If they can do it with everything from the "Brady Bunch" to "Sex and the City", I'm sure they can do it with "Alice", too.
hulkfan1977 04-16-2006, 10:23 PM Thanks for recommending "The Last Review" and "The Hex."
Hi Alice fans, Marty here with some shocking news. I just read on here if I got the info right, that alice will be coming to DVD on June 27th, 2006, which is only 2 months away from now. so I am asuming this will be the complete first season. the only reason I am posting the news is because I read this on here while I was looking at the dvd complation, and right underneath the dvd image for that, it said Alice coming to DVD on July 27th, I have no doubt that it is the first season. I hope i'm right.

No, it's just a "Best Of" Television Favorites Dvd, but if the sales are good, I suspect WB may release season 1 of ALICE. Make sure you purchase this set, as all 6 shows scheduled to be on it are, in my opinion, classics. They'll also be uncut (judging from the length of the episodes).
hulkfan1977 04-16-2006, 10:38 PM Holy Moly, I am so sorry about that info on Alice the first season coming out on DVD June 27th, 2006. I just pre-ordered the Alice DVD from Amazon. I told everyone this would be released on DVD before the word was officially out, but you brushed me off. Well, maybe now you'll listen to me when I relay info to you from my inside sources. Better yet, I shouldn't even bother sharing the info with you, since you're all so bloody ungrateful.
sm95fan 05-02-2026, 05:51 PM I've always enjoyed "Alice" and will definately buy any & every dvd release ont he show. My top 10 favorite episodes are:
#9. Good Night Sweet Vera Alice and Flo try to keep Vera from O'Ding on sleeping pills.
#20 The Odd Couple Flo's trailer is stolen, and Alice has the heart to let her stay at her house for a spell. The spell is broken when Alice finds out that Flo is an all-out slob and have unwelcomed visitors (Flo's latest boyfriend, not roaches).
#28 Alice By Moonlight
Alice's moonlighting job as a nightclub singer is taking its toll on her waitress job.
#31 That Old Back Magic
Mel can't be moved after his bad back flares up at Alice's place.
#33 A Semi-Merry Christmas
Alice and friends are snowbound en route to her cousin's for Christmas.
#37 Close Encounters Of The Worst Kind
Hostility rages at Mel's after the workers decide to vent their petty grievances
#47 Mel's Recession
Mel considers firing a waitress to save money.
#74 Mona Lisa Alice
Alice's sour reaction to Tommy's matchmaking efforts threatens Mel's new promotional gimmick which is free meals to customers if his waitresses don't smile.
#81 Cabin Fever
Mel, his girlfriend and the waitresses spend the weekend packed like sardines in a fishing cabin.
#106 Alice Locks Belle Out
As the new manager of her apartment building, Alice has the unenviable task of locking out a delinquent fellow tenant, Belle
I didn't realize until Antenna aired them both this week that S7 Tommy, Business Consultant was basically a rip off of Mel's Recession.
