Dan Frischman (Arvid) was on Vh1's I love the 80's 3-D show! He made a joke about Star Wars (The Reagan defense system, not the movie). It was the 1983 segment. He looked a bit older but it was still great to see him on tv again! Maybe this time I love the 80's will do a segment on Head of the Class? I won't be around to see the rest of it this week (I'm going on vacation) but I'm sure they will repeat it so I'll watch the 1986-1989 segments real close!

I hope they do in fact show something from Head of the Class, too. That would be so great!

It would be about time, too!

Or they could also show Valerie/The Hogan Family, too, b/c hardly anyone ever mentions those shows these days.

Me too. I am hoping that when they do 1985 that they talk about back to the future.

In fact, last night on the 1986 segment, I was right! They finally did one for Head of the Class! :D :)

Head of the Class was just covered on the 1986 section of VH1's "I Love the '80s: 3-D" I just saw it tonight. It was pretty cool and for once, they didn't say anything too bad about the show. I'm surprised no one made the joke about why it took a gifted smart class 5 years to graduate from high school!
Although they did peg everyone as nerds or dweebs or losers. But yeah, Dan Frischman was there to talk about Arvid and the show and he mentions that though Arvid Engen was like the super-nerd (well, he's close in the runnings with Steve Urkel for the title, anyway) - it seems like Arvid wound up with having the most dates on the show!;)
Yes, it was cool seeing a bit of Head of the Class on again! I love that show! After all these years, I still remember first seeing the pilot episode in 1986! I remember the commercials for the show when it was first started. I loved the piece with Charlie Moore coming in to the class and saying, "Hi, my name is Mr. Moore, but you can call me by my first name. Mister."
 :)
By the way, for whoever mentioned it, "Back to the Future" was actually covered in the 1985 section of the original "I Love the '80s" series.
(And they pretty much all had good things to say about it- as they did for MacGyver which was also covered- mainly because those 2 rule!)

When do they show the original I Love the 80's? I want to see the Back to the Future segment. I love that movie so much.

VH1 occasionally shows its other decade shows - (I Love the '70s, I Love the '80s, I Love the '80s Strikes Back, I Love the '80s: 3-D, I Love the '90s, I Love the '90s: Part Deux)

Just keep checking the TV guide.

How many times can they go over the same decade. Well, as many times as suckers like me will watch it.

I've always thought Rachael Harris was cute and sexy - but she's even more so this time around. She positively glows!! I don't know how to describe it, but she looks really good! Okay, I'll stop drooling.

And of course, Michael Ian Black's comments are always hilarious!

I just caught the Head of the Class segment on I Love the 80's! It was so cool to see Dan Frischman talking about the show. He said if there was one thing to learn from HotC it was that it's okay to be smart. So stay in school, kids!! ;)

It's about time they put HOTC on DVD. It's not on TV anymore and I really miss it.

They are not putting it out on dvd there just showed a segment on it for I Love 1986. I am so happy. They had I love 1985 on and I love 1983 and in the 1983 one they showed a segment on Family Ties. The 1985 one had clips of Back to the Future!! It was AWESOME!!!!!!

I also liked the first time they showed the I Love 1984 and I Love 1985 segments, too!

The first time they did I Love 1984, they had Webster and Punky Brewster back-to-back, mentioning how 1984 was the best year for orphans.

For 1985, the first time they had it was when they showed both 227 and Mr. Belvedere. At least for Mr. Belvedere, they showed part of the opening credits and played the theme song.

I did see the segments on I Love the 80s... I love it when they mention shows that people often forget about, such as HOTC...

I was just watching the new I Love The Holidays special on VH1, which features the same commentators from I Love the (fill in decade here).

They did a segment about witches during which the commentators put on witchy hats and noses. Rachael Harris declared "I'm a hot witch. But a nice one." I couldn't agree more.:D
