So, the closest Starbucks to me is hiring right now (they really do need the help and I really do need the money). I'm thinking of applying, but it seems like a lot of work to memorize the drinks and train and stuff (though coffee is my life). Has anyone ever been a barista or known someone who's worked as one and can give me any advice?

I can't speak from any type of experience as a barista (i didn't even know that's what they were called until I read this thread)... but surely they have a cheat sheet or something you can use for hte first couple of weeks. They can't expect you to walk in and know all there is to know. Do you get tips?
