"The Devil's Fingers" (prod. #9721-Pt. 1) aired @ 7:30 p.m. (EDT) on ABC as the 49th episode of Batman.

Earlier this season, Edy Williams (Rae) portrayed a Hostess in Episode #9703-Pt. 1,"Hot Off the Griddle". Williams would later appear in the 1970 Russ Meyer camp classic Beyond The Valley Of The Dolls.

Work on the second season became so hectic that Adam West began to use cue cards.

Later in the 3rd season, Sivi Alberg (Mimi) portrayed Undine in Episode #1714 "Surf's Up! Joker Under!" Earlier in his life Liberace (Chandell/Fingers/Harry) jammed with Elvis Presley on guitars in Las Vegas.

Repeated on ABC August 30, 1967, which turned out to be the last official telecast of Batman on Wednesday evenings. The Wednesday night Batman was replaced by Custer, a new 60-minute western on ABC.

OCTOBER 27, 1966

"The Dead Ringers" (prod. #9721-Pt. 2) aired @ 7:30 p.m. (EDT) on ABC as the 50th episode of Batman.

The name Chandell is a play on one of Liberace's trademarks, the chandelier. Liberace insisted on using his own pianos, as he wouldn't trust anyone else's. These episodes guest-starring Liberace earned Batman its highest ratings to date.

This is a rare occurrence wherein Aunt Harriet becomes the hero!

Repeated on ABC August 31, 1967, the last summer repeat of the 1966-67 season (as well as the last Batman summer repeat of all!). It was preempted on September 7, 1967 by a 60-minute preview of a new ABC sitcom, The Flying Nun.

OCTOBER 26, 1967

"Louie The Lilac" (prod. #1710) aired @ 7:30 p.m. (EDT) on ABC as the 101st episode of Batman.

This marks the second (and final) appearance of the Billy May-Willy Mack-composed Batgirl theme. It appears here with a much slower tempo than its first appearance, in Episode #1708, "The Wail Of The Siren."
