View Full Version : What was Your High School Senior Yearbook Quote?
Karen* 10-25-2005, 12:24 AM Mine is due on Friday and I still don't know what to put. I had a notebook from sophomore year where I jotted down all my ideas, but I lost it. pissed: My current top choices are...
"I don't care what anybody says about me as long as it isn't true" (Truman Capote) - This is the one I'm most likely going to choose.
"It's not who I am on the inside, but what I do that defines me" (Christian Bale in Batman Begins) - It sounds cool, but my little brother wants this as his quote, so yeah...
"You may say I'm a dreamer, but I'm not the only one" (John Lennon)
"Don't look down on anyone unless you're helping them up"
"It's your time to fly"
:D
Ags2000 10-25-2005, 12:49 AM I didn't have a specific quote...I put whatever depending on whose book I was signing.....now if our class motto was not in the book I would put it :D
I still remember it.
"Sex, drugs, rock & roll we're the class that lose control.
Chicks, ******, and some ***** we're the class of '96!"
D
¤I Love Clay Aiken¤ 10-25-2005, 02:52 AM "Tis better to remain silent and be thought a fool, than to open my mouth and remove all doubt." Or something like that.
dawsongirl 10-25-2005, 04:10 AM We didn't have those in our yearbook.
Kazza 10-25-2005, 08:12 AM I didn't even had a yearbook!

TheHappyBurgerMeister 10-25-2005, 05:47 PM I didn't have one because they nevered asked us for one!
The year before us they did it but for some reason when I was a senior they didn't do it. I even had one in mind to use. I can't remember exactly how it goes, but it was one of those reservable quotes. Something like use what He gave you or making the most of life.
Tuesday Weld 10-25-2005, 05:50 PM I don't even remember.
*MIBabe03* 10-25-2005, 05:53 PM We didn't have those in our yearbook.
Yeah ditto. It was fine with me, one less thing to have to decide on.
Gizmo1 10-25-2005, 07:05 PM I think they were
"Laugh at yourself first before anyone else can."
and
"The perfect day? If you wake up and aren't in the obituaries, it's a good start!" Johnny Carson.
I think those are it...i just handed the paper in last week to the yearbook ppl.
When I entered my senior year in High School, the yearbook committee in thier infinate wisdom decided to eliminate the quotes under our pictures so they could have more room on the pages to allow for bigger photos.
Quite a few of us were very pissed off. I had been working on my senior quote since I was a freshman!

Yooch 01-03-2007, 08:02 PM When I graduated HS in 1968, part of my write-up contained the quote, "Hey, what's on TV?", which kind of makes sense, since here I am at SO. No surprise.
Yooch 01-03-2007, 08:04 PM I didn't have one because frankly, having to chisel all those words on stone would have given me "writer's cramp"...

Courtnee 01-03-2007, 09:07 PM we don't have those in our yearbook. But there are more C00LERR stuff fer seniors.
Titania 01-03-2007, 09:11 PM "In the depths of winter, I finally learned that there was in me an invincible summer" and "We do not know the true value of our moments until they have undergone the test of memory"
Ricky88 01-03-2007, 10:27 PM I never graduated high school. I wouldn't know if my school had quotes in the yearbook.
Brian Damage 01-03-2007, 10:32 PM I didn't have one because frankly, having to chisel all those words on stone would have given me "writer's cramp"...

Hollow 01-03-2007, 10:33 PM we don't have those. i did write a quote for the yearbook though for a page about fads that the staff will more than likely put in because they thought it was hilarious. it went something along these lines-
"myspace.com may be popular, but it is evil and it steals your soul. it is full of people who do nothing but post crappy chain bulletins and post excessive media files in their profiles that steal the soul of your computer's memory as well. don't go there.
sarah _______
myspace.com/((my url))"
-*Forever*- 01-03-2007, 11:11 PM "Dreams are just dreams when they're stuck inside your head."
:D YAYYYYYYY.
I really wanted it to be "Every now and then, I get a little bit nervous that the best of all the years have gone by" but it was too long :(
