View Full Version : I found out today that AOL doesn't accept emails from MSN accounts?-lol
TVFactFan 10-24-2005, 04:23 PM Why is AOL being so petty?-lol I tried sending a email to someone with a aol account and the customer service person told me that AOL doesn;t accept our emails. So I guess what I'm trying to say is MSN is A$$!!!!!!!!! and I want a laptop so I can get comcast.net.
gilligan fanatic 10-24-2005, 04:25 PM I have AOL and I get emails from people with MSN
G-Force Glockstar 10-24-2005, 04:39 PM I use to use AOL and I couldn't receieve emails from anywhere except people from AOL.

It was probably just a mail setting. You can set it to only do that. I have AOL for Broadband which I hardly use, but it will get mail from anyone. Sometimes it does go in the spam folder though.
Brian Damage 10-24-2005, 07:43 PM That is not true, I send emails to AOL users all the time.
Ireneparalegal 10-24-2005, 07:58 PM I have MSN, AOL, Yahoo, Incredimail and have never had an issue sending anything to anyone.
MsOrange 10-24-2005, 09:53 PM maybe you should check your settings... or talk to another customer service rep. Sounds like you got a crappy one.
TVFactFan 10-25-2005, 10:22 AM The main problem I'm having with MSN is you don;t get some emails deliver in your inbox that you want. They go straight to the Junk Folder.
TVFactFan 10-25-2005, 10:22 AM also I can send emails to AOl users, it just takes a while for the AOL user to receive it

maybe its something with your web tv because I get them from my friends with MSN instantly.
Kay Scarpetta 10-25-2005, 11:42 AM My aunt has MSN and sends me e-mails on my AOL account.
I mostly use my hotmail though. It's 295 times better.
robyrob 10-25-2005, 12:04 PM AOL periodically blacklists servers that it feels are serving up too much SPAM, for this reason it will intermittently bounce emails from certain major email providers.
Unfortunately MSN does the same thing to AOL because they BOTH have an unreasonably large number of email accounts used by SPAMMERS that they are unwilling to admit the existence of - and do something to realistically prevent.

I always thought it was easier to DELETE junkmail. I don;t need a spam filter

not when you consider that up to 30% of all internet traffic is SPAM - that's completely wasted bandwidth, slowing down every server, and every computer on the internet for a bunch of useless, greedy jerks.

I agree, when I had AOL I would have like 30 spam messages to just 1 from someone I wanted to talk to, thats not easier to just delete. It's annoying, and AOL is the worst at getting it.
TVFactFan 10-26-2005, 12:21 PM Now I found out that if you have MSN you doesn;t allow you to go to ESPN, only Foxsports.com I wonder why?-lol
theshark8777 10-26-2005, 04:54 PM You have MSN tv, that may not be compatible. Who knows. Get a laptop.
