I just figured I'd let everyone know that Mark-Paul Gosselaar will be joining NYPD Blue! Here's the article from Gist.com

Mark-Paul Gosselaar, best known for his role as Zack on the Saturday-morning series Saved by the Bell, will join the cast of NYPD Blue next season. Variety reports that Gosselaar will play a police detective.
This wouldn't be first the time NYPD Blue producer Steven Bochco gave a kiddie star a chance to play a more adult role. Eyebrows were raised when Bochco cast former Silver Spoons star Rick Schroder as a detective on the show in 1998. But Schroder quickly proved himself capable of handling the role.
Like Schroder, Gosselaar rose to fame on a cheesy sitcom. He went on to roles in the ill-fated series Hyperion Bay and D.C. and was recently seen in the NBC TV movie The Princess and the Marine.
Gosselaar came to Bochco's attention when he auditioned for a part on the producer's upcoming ABC legal drama, Philly, according to Variety. While Tom Everett Scott eventually won the Philly part, Bochco was impressed by Gosselaar and gave him a role on NYPD Blue.
