I watched the early episodes of "Saved by the Bell" ("Good Morning,Miss Bliss"),and I loved Hayley Mills' performance as Carrie Bliss. Did Hayley audition for the show after she did "The Parent Trap II"? I read in her bio that she wanted to do a "Facts of Life" spin-off.

I thought the show was just given to her.

Actually,Hayley was offered the role while she was doing her comeback to Disney. Hayley's fan mail was pouring in at the Disney studios while The Disney Channel was airing the movie that won her the Academy Award: "Pollyanna". So,Hayley auditioned for the role of Carrie Bliss on "Good Morning,Miss Bliss" before she was starring in "The Parent Trap II".
