This is really cool. I just saw a new infomercial for a collection of 70's pop hits. The kind of songs that are rare and hard to find in one collection. I grew up more in the 80's however I love the music of the 60's and 70's.
Personally I think the pop music of the 70's was a pinnacle for creativity in pop music. It was more creative than the pop and jazz standards of preceding decades. And later pop music was very professional, but mostly lost a lot of the energy and creativity found in the music of the late 60's and 70's.
This collection focuses on the 70's hits. Many one hit wonders that sound familiar but you have no idea who sang them.
