Has anyone ever heard of the Brady Bunch project called "The Brady Bunch Three". Featuring Eve, Mike and Susan? This was in development after the Brady Bunch was cancelled. I found this eve article titled "We Peek At Eve's Private Diary". From 1975 teen magazine.

May 21, 1975
Rehearsals for "The Brady Bunch Three" tonight. Susan (Olsen) and Mike (Lookinland) are so much fun to work with; they're real professionals and know what they're doing. We're getting the act together, and one thing I really love is getting the chance to sing.

May 30, 1975
"The Brady Bunch Three" will be going on tour soon."

I have attached the promotional photo.
The article is a little too large to post.

I have never heard of this? And I'm thinking this is also news to everyone else? If this was a Variety style touring show? Maybe this was the reason Eve decided not to be involved in the Variety Hour. She did this similar concept show first?

Well this article I found on a wonderful website called "Stuck in the 70's". They post articles and photos from 70s magazines. So I have collected a heap of rare articles and photos that they have posted. And I also checkout ebay for rare photos. I have hundreds, which I plan to upload somewhere (probably onto the sitcoms gallery soon).

So I've uploaded this one article for you:

So this Brady Bunch Three concept is quite unknown about.
I'd never heard anything said about it.

yes, that was interesting... eve dating two guys.

Here is another Eve article I've just uploaded:

Checkout Stuck in the 70's website. They add new magazines, but they sell them on ebay, and do remove and change mags. So I have caught a lot of articles that are no longer posted on their site. Chris Knight (peter) was the most popular brady so most of the articles and photos I have are of him. Maureen was also popular. And also to some extent, Barry. I'll have to upload what I have at some point. And transcript articles. Last year I uploaded photos into a brady yahoo group. I might update that soon. And I also added photos to the sitcoms gallery last year too.

Hello. okay the other day I uploaded all the good articles I had. They are located here: http://photobucket.com/albums/v498/ABradyBunchFanClub/ This is a new gallery for the A Brady Bunch Fan Club Yahoo Group. This is the link to the group if anyone wishes to sign up. http://tv.groups.yahoo.com/group/abradybunchfanclub/ last year I posted a gallery in the photos section of that yahoo group and i uploaded all my photos that I had at the time. So probably about 100 bw and 100 colour maybe. They are still there. I'm about to create individual folders on the photobucket album and upload only rare photos that I have of the brady kids. I'll probably upload some also to the sitcom gallery at some point.

I am an Eve fan too. check this two page spread!! Eve in bikinis!! Very hot!

As a side note, on the stuck in the 70s web site, in the 1974 magazines, there's a picture from the same photo shoot as the picture used at the top of this page. In that other pic, however, Chris has a goofy grin on his face and wrinkled up his nose. too funny

yeah, I had that one saved from there. I didn't notice it was different. Thanks for pointing that out. I've actually just looked through my photos and found 3 different photos from this shoot. I thought I'd only seen 2 different, but I had 3 right here.

By the way, I started updating this gallery with rare brady photos.
I hadn't finished uploading so there will be more to come soon.

That is very cool. Nice to meet you! I haven't met any other Adelaide fans either, but know of a few Australians. One from WA that I talk to a lot. Weren't you annoyed this year in March when Barry toured Australia and didn't come to Adelaide! A few years ago he was set to come to Australia and have some shows in Adelaide as part of the fringe but he cancelled his tour (and ended up doing that celeb boxing in America). So it was quite exciting when he came down this year, but then didn't end up doing any shows here. Would have been great to go to one hey! At least he went on Rove. That was good.

Updated galleries for Eve, Barry, Susan and Mike.

Yeah for some reason Adelaide always misses out on the big name celebrities. Ive only managed to meet one celebrity, and that was Ronn Moss (Ridge from The Bold and the Beautiful). Its a shame that Barry didnt come down here, would have been fantastic!!

Just an update. I thought I'd message this info to Wendy at Bradyworld. She told me that they asked Susan about it and she said that Eve, Mike and herself did practice and discuss the project, but it never came to be.

Thanks for those amazing pictures Brad, I've know of the Brady Three for a while, and breifly mentioned it on my website, but this is the first discussion I've heard about them in a fourm.

I own all of the Brady Kids albums on CD and the liner notes in one of the inserts talks breifly about the idea of The Brady Three and contains a promo photo similar to the one you inculded in your post. The passage from the insert goes likes this:

"Eve, Susan and Michael were planning on going on the road as "The Brady Three"...The Brady Three had also gone into the studio to record what was planned as the the sixth Brady LP. Though never completed, this album was to include three of four solo numbers from each of the remaining group members. The pulg was pulled by the ailing Paramount Records division, but not before a handful of tracks (including Susan's Version of Neil Dimond's "Porcupine Pie") made it to tape. The tour was also cancelled without an album behind it to support even though costumes had been made and publicity photos had been distributed."

I'd love to hear the songs they did record though. I wonder if Paramount still has them in their vaults somewhere. If so, they should dig 'em out and try to re-release them:D

This smacks of AfterMASH: Take the three lesser characters of an ensemble and milk the corpse of The Brady Bunch for all it's worth.:D

On the other hand, it couldn't have been any worse than The Brady Bunch Hour!!::eek: At least by that point, Eve had her senses about her, giving "Fake Jan" (Geri Reischl) 15 seconds of fame. The show was so bad, she didn't even get 15 minutes of fame!!

Thanks for that scott. I read a bit about this the other day when I was checking out your website. I didn't really know what to think of it, but you've cleared it up for me now. And it would be great to hear those songs that were recorded if they were kept. Thanks for that information. Didn't know about any of this.
