Guys,

Sometimes there were episodes of The Brady Bunch that were so good, that you would have wished a character would have become more of an important figure throughout the run of the show. Here are some that stand out:

Buddy Hinton: Probably the best TV impression of a bully that you will ever see! It would have been cool if the Peter and Cindy would have had on-going issues with Buddy!!! And aren't his parents just classic as the "Big Bullies!!?" Peter does get another black eye from a fight with Buddy later in Season 2 of the series. But after "A Fistful of Reasons", you never see the Hinton's again!

Mr. Price: Peter's dull and hard science teacher from "Power of the Press." Milton Parson's was fantastic in this role. There could have been more of a reoccuring them with Peter and him. It certainly didn't have to take on the role of Ms. Canfield, Ms. Landers, or Mr. Blair, who were Beaver's teachers on "Leave it to Beaver" But there could have been maybe 2 or 3 more episodes where he was involved as a teacher in some way.

As a sidenote, more Brady teachers in the series interacting with the kids in class would have been interesting. Other than Mr. Price the science teacher, there was Mrs. Watson, Jan's teacher for a subject unspecified and head of the National Honor Society at Filmore Junior High School, Mrs Ingstrum, Cindy's drama teacher at Clinton Elementary School , Ms. Bailly another drama teacher at Filmore when Peter is Benedict Arnold in the play about the American Revolution, another drama teacher, Ms. Goodwin when Marcia plays Juliet and Mrs. Tuttle, a drama teacher when Marcia and Carol team up with Mike and Greg for Family Frolic Night. Mrs. Robbins was an unspecified teacher when Marcia tries to get Davey Jones for the prom.

Seeing more Brady kids in class might have sparred us from Skip Farnam!!! hahahaha!

And who didn't want even more conflict between Greg and Marcia when they bring each others rivals over (Warren Mulaney and Kathy Lawrence!!!) to torment each other???!!! I was disappointed to see the "and they happily lived ever after ending!!!" I watched that episode again tonight and I absolutely crack up every time!!! I LOVE THAT EPISODE!!!!

The "something suddenly came up" guy that Marcia dated was pretty good. He later went on to play Spiderman in the late 70's.

The rival school football player that Marcia dated, who dated Marcia just to get to Greg's playbook. The same actor played the guy who sold Greg the junker car. I don't know if he was supposed to be the same character or not.

The guy who Greg almost sold the junker car to. He was played by Charles Martin Smith, a great actor.

The guy with the braces who dated Marcia when she got braces.

Davy Jones. The music-oriented shows were some of my favorites.

You're right about Buddy Hinton's performance. There were way too many bland performances from children.

In "Bobby the Hall Monitor/Dictator," I remember having a crush on the girl who's cat was in the abandoned house. She was crying and pleading for Bobby to help her.

Personally, I would have loved to have seen Kym Karath, who played Kerry Hathaway in "Cyrano de Brady", do a few more guest appearances. I thought she was just beautiful :eyes: :eyes:

She's the girl who was "Jan's friend", and Pete had a crush on her, but she only had eyes for Greg. Of course, Pete ends up walking her home at the end of the episode, but then you never hear from her again :crying: :crying: ... (she also played little Gretl in the "Sound of Music" movie...and along those lines, Nicholas Hammond, who played Doug Simpson, also played one of the von Trapp sons in the same movie, Friedrich, I think).

Kym should have stayed friends with Jan at least through the fifth season... the thought of 5th season Jan and Kym hanging out together... wow... boggles the mind :)

Let's not forget our own board celebrity, "Molly".

I would have liked to have seen more with Jim Backus as Mike's boss. He was only in the pool table episode.

...as Mike's Boss.

Backus also was in the first Grand Canyon episode as Zaccariah T. Brown, who accused the Brady's of trying to jump his claim.

I guess there were too many main characters to give side characters much attention.

I would have loved to have seen a few more dates with Greg and Rachel (she must have been interested in Greg to keep dating him after those fiascoes at the drive-in movies!), and not that I didn't like Nora as his wife in the reunions, but how cool would it have been if Greg had ended up marrying Rachel despite all those disastrous dates?

Maybe that would have happened in the ninth season, after Greg got her pregnant. :p
