after someone told you; you read the lyrics; you finally understood the words to the lyrics, etc. There are a bunch of songs that I am sure you sang for years yet, you didn't have a clue what the song was abt. Or, you sang the words wrong, and when you figured it out, you realized it was DIRTY!! or had some sexual conotation to it:

HAVE FUN!!

Sledgehammer: Peter Gabriel
She-Bop - Cindy Lauper
Yummy Yummy (I've Got Love In My Tummy) - Ohio Express (oldies song)
Sugar Walls - Sheena Easton
Lady Marmalade - Labelle

"Not Just Kneep Deep"-Funkadelic

When I was younger, the song was the jam, but as I got older, and I listened to the lyrics, I didn't realize George Clinton was talking about how good the sex was. LOL

"Penny Lane" by the Beatles (ther fireman keeping his "machine" clean had nothing to with fire engines)

"Brick House" by the Commodores (not about a Chicago bungalow)

"Bad, Bad Leroy Brown" by Jim Croce (I'll assume that the gun in his pocket for fun had nothing to do with firearms!)

"I Shot the Sheriff" by Bob Marley - When he sang about the sheriff telling him to keep his seeds from growing, I doubt Bob was talking about agriculture.

"Tutti Fruiti" by Little Richard - What exactly was rocking east to west? ;)

That's a dirty song? My sister thought the song was about NOT running away, because of this lyric: "Relax, don't do it, where you gonna go?"(She interpreted the lyric as telling people not to run away because if they do, they will have no place to go.):)

Turning Japanese.

VH1 did a story on the song and The Vapors said the song is not about what you think.

Yes, sledgehammer is about...um...sex. A man's private part.
Relax, is abt sex. If I remember correctly, there was a ban of the song in some countries.

I saw the True Spin on them a while ago but I think they said it was about breaking up.

"Show Biz Kids" by Steely Dan has a line that goes "Show business kids making movies of themselves. . . ." I've since assumed it refers to something other than cinematography. If you know what I mean.
