Nelson was posted on GAC Forums on the Termite Terrace Trading Post (that's where I got banned recently):
I wanted to share this with everyone that in yesterday's New York Post, the paper ran an article on the upcoming Adult Swim series, "Boondocks" and was very surprised on how much Cartoon Network is letting this show get away with murder. If anyone has seen the promos, the title character goes up to a mike and tells the white audience that "Jesus Is Black", "Ronald Regan Was The Devil" and I forgot the third part he says. Now considering that the comic strip is based on an African American family and the strip has caused some major controversey, as some newspapers have pulled the strip from their papers. Now comes Mike Lazzo defending and promoting this show, in which the NY Post also reports that the characters keeping using the "N" word in the episodes and it made me wonder about something, about this network.
Well all know that CN has been censoring the classic theatrical cartoons for many years, that contain ethnic stereotypes(and still do on Boomerang) and they don't have a problem, with this type of crude ethnic humor on Boondocks but Lazzo and company don't want to offend viewers with cartoons such as , "Coal Black" "All This And Rabbit Stew" and many others..
So am I missing something or does this make any sense?
