I just saw the episode "The Physical" on Nick At Nite, and I have a question, why did John Amos guest star as the doctor?

He was the star of "Good Times", a show that Bill Cosby hated. Cosby basicly hated almost every Norman Leer produced show from the 70's. He called "All In The Family" trash. (which Amos did guest star on before he was on Good Times) The reason he created "The Cosby Show" legend has it was for it to be the anti "Good Times."

The way things ended at "Good Times", Amos probably does not have warm feelings for Leer and his production company. Big difference not liking someone for personal reasons like John Amos, and not liking someone's art like Bill Cosby.

I just found the Cosby / Amos peering odd. They both represent the opposite of a tv black father figure.

Bill Cosby and John Amos did a film together (also starring Jimmie Walker) while Good Times was still on the air, so obviously whatever problems Cosby might have had with Good Times doesn't mean he'd have a problem working with those actors or having one of them appear on his show years later.

I see your point, and I agree they shouldn't be problems between the actors. But admit it, Cliff Huxtable and James Evans are complete opposites in black tv father figures. And I am not just talking about money. For example, James would whop his kids if they did something wrong, while Cliff wouldn't.

Of the Norman Leer produced shows form the 70's that featured an aferican american family, I think Bill hated "The Jeffersons" more. He didn't like the way George Jefferson represented wealthy african americans.

It would've been quite a site if The Jeffersons met the Huxtables. I mean logically it was possible since both families resided in New York City.

That's one of my all time favorites. I grew up with that movie. You haven't seen it yet?? Why don't you just buy it, you could probably find it somewhere for a cheap price.
