What characters do you love anyway, even though you know they're supposed to be complete jerks?

I know Major Winchester from M*A*S*H is supposed to be an arrogant, unlikable snob, but I just find him so lovable. He's one of my favorite M*A*S*H characters.

Roy from Wings, Dr. Cox from Scrubs, and Bill from NewsRadio are also unlikable lovable characters, IMHO.

And how can I forget Louie DePalma?

Dan Fielding of Night Court. Hands down.

Edit: Episode 95, Another Day in the Life was on TVLand and John Larroquette had me rolling! Easy to see why he won so many Emmys for the role (4).

Louie de Palma. He's so horrible, but at the same time, kind of likeable in his own way. I recently watched the episode where his mother moved out into a rest home, and felt sorry for him, because he really missed her.

Archie Bunker ''All In The Family''-Yes he is a bigot and you should hate him but sometimes you cant hep but like the guy

Eddie Haskell ''Leave It To Beaver''-The type of kid if you had kids you would not want your kids to be friends with but you can tell hes really a nice guy underneath

I second those who said Herb from WKRP and Eddie from Leave It To Beaver.

I'll add Arnold J Rimmer from Red Dwarf.
