The name of this movie is killing me. I couldn't figure it out at all. It would be so much easier if I remembered some of the actors in it. The premise was about a young actress who becomes a bigger star than the veteran actress. I think the young actress backstabs the old one. I think it starred Bette Davis or Joan Crawford, but I am not sure. It was from the 30's or 40's if I'm not mistaken. I thought it might be "A Star is Born," but it isn't. Anybody know?

Definitely 'All About Eve'. Excellent movie. 'A Star Is Born' is about a wife's star surpassing her husband's.

I was going to ask if it was a good movie and if anybody would recommend it. I am curious to see it.

If you get Fox Movie Channel, I noticed in next week's TV Guide that it's on a week from Sunday (Oct. 30). Then again, FMC has commercials now and edits the heck out of films. If you do want to watch it, it would be better to rent it.

If it makes any difference, I'd just like to amend what I said about FMC. It's actually AMC that has commercials and edits its films. FMC advertises other Fox movies and TV shows, but only in between movies, and it claims its films are unedited. I stopped watching it about a year ago, apparently for an entirely different reason but at the moment I can't recall what that was.
Anyway... "All About Eve" is scheduled to be on FMC on Sunday 10/30 at 2:30 p.m. PST / 5:30 EST, I think. The online schedules for that day are all squirrely because of the return to Standard Time. Check your local listings.
