Props to the Astros for getting to the WS for the first time. I wonder if Carlos Beltran was sitting home watching and saying, "damn, if only I stayed..."

For the first time ever, the World Series is coming to the Lone Star State. Before the Astros, the Texas Rangers was the longest-serving franchise without going to the World Series; the franchise was born in 1961, a year before the Astros.

This is going to be a great World Series.

Congratulations to the Houston Astros! I'm rooting for them to go all the way!!

Oh amn, this is great!!!!!! My sister and I have been calling each other back and forth throughout the entire game. I had class tonight so my sister was text messaging me scores the entire time I was in class and I was passing it to the rest of my class.

This is SO sweet!!!!!! I can just imagine the party going on in Houstin right now and when that plane lands. It'll be HUGE!

This is the only thing on the news right now down here first World Series EVER to be played in Texas. Rumor is that Nolan Ryan will throw the first pitch of the first game played in Houston. That'd be cool!

Former President and Mrs. Bush are planning on attending these games as well. They were there for all the games during the playoffs. They make a lot of the home games during the year. They're BIG Astro fans.

Man, I'm just on cloud 9 right now. This totally wipes out the Keystone Kops from last night! :D

It was crazy in Houston last night, that's for sure. I think just about every person in this city was screaming their heads off, me included. :lol:

I'll be rooting for the Astros but I don't know if they'll win. The Sox are a great hitting team and Ozzie Guillen is a better small-ball manager than Phil Garner. This series may come down to simple fundamental baseball.
