OCTOBER 19, 1966

"An Egg Grows In Gotham" (prod. #9717-Pt. 1) first aired @ 7:30 p.m. (EDT) on ABC as the 47th episode of Batman.

Egghead is considered to be the world's smartest criminal (or so he believes!). The word GHOTI in The Ghoti-Oeufs Caviar Company means FISH. GH becomes F as in TOUGH or LAUGH, O becomes I as in WOMEN, TI becomes SH as in the words RATION or the word NATION.

In order to get his 3 raccoon pelts, Bruce Wayne had to contact a singer who'd fallen on hard times. Chief Chicken sold blankets, souvenirs, tacos, pizza, and blintzes at his roadside teepee. Whereas here Egghead employs a laughing gas egg, a later episode, #1705-Pt. 1, "The Ogg And I," will find him using a tear gas egg!

OCTOBER 20, 1966

"The Yegg Foes In Gotham" (prod. #9717-Pt. 2) first aired @ 7:30 p.m. (EDT) on ABC as the 48th episode of Batman.

Ben Weldon (Foo Yung) portrayed several heavies on 1952-58's The Adventures Of Superman. Listen for Nelson Riddle's own rendition of "Old MacDonald Had A Farm" during the egg-throwing Batfight.

OCTOBER 20, 1967

"The Unkindest Tut Of All" (prod. #1709) first aired @ 7:30 p.m. (EDT) on ABC as the 100th episode of Batman.

According to publicity, comedienne Patti Gilbert as Tut's moll ended up conking Yvonne Craig on the head 3 times in order to get a good take for the bit with the break-away vase. (Holy Headache!) Though he fails to do so here, Tut finally succeeds in storming The Batcave and divining The Dynamic Duo's identities in episode #1725, "I'll Be A Mummy's Uncle."
