View Full Version : Odd spoiler...
MsOrange 10-18-2005, 09:29 PM 10/18 - There are a lot of customers at Luke's Diner to a point that the stove is going blinky! A 10-year-old named April comes to the diner alone. She seems to be a bright little girl. April goes to Martin Van Buren middle school where a science fair will soon be held. This year she wants to win. Her project is to take hair from three men, run a DNA test on each and figure out which one is her father. She wants Luke's hair... Could he be her father?

MaydayMalonesGirl 10-18-2005, 09:45 PM I have absolutely no idea of what ANY of that might mean. I read it earlier today and have been trying to figure it out since...
PrettyinPink55 10-19-2005, 12:40 AM I usually don't read spoilers, but I read this one, and I have to say, I don't know what to make of it! I REALLY hope they don't go down this route! :(
MsOrange 10-19-2005, 01:05 PM it just doesn't make since... i mean, Luke's always been the "bachleour" (sp?)... not the "one night stand" type guy... it would totally ruin his characer. I'm hoping this one's bogus.

I don't know...
10/19 - Christopher's coming back. No lie. Although Amy Sherman-Palladino initially said there were no plans to bring him back this season, sources confirm that the perpetual spoiler in the Lorelai-Luke romance resurfaces in the Nov. 22 episode after Lorelai gets a surprise call from him. Coincidentally, that's the same episode we meet a mysterious 10-year-old girl who, I'm told, will turn a certain Stars Hollow resident's life upside down. Rumor has it someone whose name rhymes with Duke may have a long-lost daughter. Source: Ask Ausiello @ TV Guide
Hmm. I'm undecided on this whole situation.

I'm sorry, but that's a dumb idea.
Luke's finally got the girl of his dreams, he's walking tall, they can't take that away.
I'm not crying!
;)
MaydayMalonesGirl 10-19-2005, 09:22 PM A major spoiler on this whole subject...

Oh boy.
Sara Micelli 10-19-2005, 09:50 PM Okay everybody, try to find your happy place. This is going to be a VERY dramatic November sweeps, so we should hold onto our hats . I'm VERY optimistic about this storyline. On the surface it does seem contrived, but I have faith that ASP will do a good job.
Also, I don't think this will ruin his character. Remember, this happened 10/11 years ago.
PrettyinPink55 10-19-2005, 11:05 PM This all sounds too much like a soap opera to me!
Snowfall 10-19-2005, 11:44 PM Oh, geez....let's PLEASE not go there....looks like a classic "jumping the shark" storyline to me. Ick!
Mr. Television 10-19-2005, 11:49 PM This is stupid. And I can't stand Christopher. I wish he would stay with Jess in exile.
MsOrange 10-20-2005, 09:49 PM oh... dear... god
exuse me while i go pick up my heart, it just dropped to the floor
i'm sorry--but this sounds like total.. bull ****!
PrettyinPink55 10-21-2005, 02:51 AM *Sigh* I guess we'll just have to have faith in ASP.
MsOrange 10-21-2005, 12:24 PM lets think about this for a minute... is there a possiblity that this spoiler could be bogus?
I mean, a 10 year old doing a "at home DNA test" for a school project? Lets get real here people. My 10 year old brother doesn't even know what DNA is... much less how to extract it from a piece of hair, and then match it with another DNA string.
I'm hoping that this is a fake.. it sounds way too lame for my taste.

I don't think it's fake...
10/21 - A surprise phone call from Christopher (David Sutcliffe, who does not appear in the episode) brings up issues of trust between Lorelai and Luke. Later, when a person from Luke's past shows up in Stars Hollow, he has no idea how to tell Lorelai about it. After months of estrangement, Lorelai and Rory make their first move toward reconciliation, and Rory takes major steps to change the direction of her life. Source: The WB
That's basically a conformation of this entire storyline since it came from the WB, unless they're talking about someone else from Luke's past.
Superstar 10-21-2005, 04:19 PM They can't do this storyline! It seems too unrealistic for GG. I hope he turns out not to be the girls father....
MsOrange 10-21-2005, 04:23 PM I don't think it's fake...

****!
****!
I couldn't have said it better myself.
;)
Snowfall 10-21-2005, 11:55 PM If this does turn out to be true, I am going to be so annoyed. I'm just hoping that just like Superstar said, he doesn't really turn out to be her father....like, there may be an issue from his past, in that he may have known this girl's mother, but he doesn't suddenly have this surprise kid.
Sara Micelli 10-22-2005, 12:50 AM The spoiler was released late Monday night, so I've had time to accept it. I know that on the surface it sounds like a horrible idea, but I think we should reserve judgment until we actually see the episodes. Also, things ALWAYS sound worse than they actually are. For instance, everyone freaked out about the break-up last year, but it only lasted two weeks. Also, this spoiler has been floating around since the end of July. That's when I first heard about it, so it's not like the is an incredibly spontaneous move on ASP's part. She's had this idea in her head for a while, and I think she knows what she's doing. This show has always handled unorginal storylines with magic and dignity, and I don't expect this to be any different. Find your zen and sit back and enjoy the ride.
