Great news, guys! As some of you already know, I was approached last week by a producer from Lifetime Television who is putting together a special for the 20th anniversary of the enduring sitcom The Golden Girls. As I have authored a book about the program, they felt I could supply some pertinent information for the special. Well, I spoke with the producer again this evening and I am now set to fly off to New York to take part in the special! Taping will be on Monday and perhaps going into Tuesday, depending on how things go. As of now, the "panel" is made up of me and the host of the special, comedian Mo Rocco, whom I'm sure you've seen on VH-1's I Love the 80s. The segments (which will be approximately forty seconds each) will be featured on Veteran's Day, November 11, when Lifetime Television is running a day-long Golden Girl's marathon. Needless to say, I'm fairly excited! Not to mention nervous! Wish me luck, guys!!!

Thanks!

Should Be Funny!

The producer for The Golden Girls 20th Anniversary special have informed me who the other guest for the "panel" will be, along with myself and Mo Rocca; comedian Judy Gold. I didn't recognize the name at first, but after doing a quick google search, I knew who she was immediately. We've all seen her on so many VH-1 specials, including I Love the 80s and Best Week Ever. She's also done some HBO specials, so I can only imagine what a hoot she's going to be. Granted, I am a bit nervous, as I've never done anything like this before, but I'm just thinking of it as an amazing, unforgettable experience. How many people get opportunities such as this? So, I just have to go for it! I'm sure everyone on the set will do everything to make me feel at ease, and the shoot will be an all-day thing, so the atmosphere should be fairly relaxed! Wow... I'm sure at some point during all this I will be telling myself... Am I really in a studio in New York City taping a television special with Mo Rocca and Judy Gold?
