I guess you can also consider this the "Hidden (10/13) Discussion Thread."

I would like to ask this question - Do you think Clark's powers are for a greater good, or a horrible burden that will bring him nothing but grief and pain?

For the first time in any of the Superman incarnations that I can remember, we finally have a Clark Kent who doesn't want his destiny as "Superman."
Clark now has his powers back, but at the cost of the life of someone he loves. It's a fascinating twist to the Superman storyline.

A reluctant Superman.

Great stuff. Anyone else have an opinion about this?

It was a good episode.Clark learned two big lessons from this experience that he got to accept who he really is and he should listen to Jo-Rel in the first place so,he wouldn't have to sacrifice the life of nobody.I'm sure he's going to have a superman's attitude after that.It was a good thing to show a normal Clark for a couple of episode because he really knows what it's feel to be human now.We understand better why he will become this great super hero.

Anybody else find it strange when Jo-Rel reincarned in Lionel's body to talk to his son:confused:

I loved that! John Glover even mimicked Terrence Stamp's accent!
I hope that will be a recurring thing.

Clark's powers are supposed to be a blessing. He's supposed to be Superman because he WANTS to be. I guess Al and Miles forget this is Superman not SpiderMan

Good question. I would say there a blessing because he can help alot more people then the people who suffered from them. He can also helped those who he caused suffering. It would be hard for him to take on being Superman.

I love how he is reluctent to be superman. It makes me really care about what happens to him.

Both, I think. Right now, Clark wants to live a "normal" life like everyone else.
But as he matures, I think he will accept the fact that he is more than human.
So, his powers are both a blessing AND a curse.
