Hello Everyone!

I was going to wait until it's finished to show this off but I'm too excited. I commissioned a sculptor to make an accurate Grandpa bust that I can use to make a life size statue for Halloween this year and I just got pictures of the final sculpt.

I already built the mannequin and have the costume so as soon as I get the bust I'm going to paint it and add glass eyes. What do you think?

All I can say is, too cool, too cool!

I'm sure if Al lewis saw that bust, he would be proud. :D

I like what you did with his sideburns. In Season 1, he shaved higher up, by the end of Season 2, he shaved much lower. I like how you have it at half-way.

Both Herman and Grandpa's appearances changed so much during the series, we tried hard to capture the "classic" Grandpa look. I'm looking forward to painting the bust, it'll really come alive then.

I know what you mean.

Look at this little diagram I made some time ago.

Cool Diagram! Do you have any LARGE color photos of Grandpa that shows his makeup that you could send me? I'm looking for more paint reference.

I don't have any large color pix. Sorry. :(

But if you're looking for the right color, I would suggest a pale blue or an ashy-green color. Try a mix of blue and white or green and white.
