Hi Gang,

I have been out of service for the past two weeks. My computer died on September 28th and my friend has had it for the past two weeks trying to resurrect it from the dead. She has lots of health and family problems and has not had much time to work on it, but I will be getting back tonight. I am on my laptop. One of the things she did for me was get me off my old ISP and put me on Netscape. Because of that, I can now get Internet on the laptop at home. Configuring it for my old local ISP would have been a pain and since the laptop is really the school's property, I didn't want to mess with that.

I have missed you all terribly and am so glad I am now back connected to the net. I was like one of the BORG disconnected from his pals! LOL I was going through some major withdrawal symptoms, I thought they were going to have to intervention! LOL

I have been enjoying my new CATM DVD's in the meantime, tho. Drooling and dreaming!:loveya: :drool:

It was great to spend the hours I have today catching up with all the news on the boards!

It's great to see you back Luckymama. Computers can be a real pain. I had a slight simulararity when I was changing virus-spam protectors on my computer a while back. Luckily I was able to survive with the company's computer at work. Everyone was looking at me all in different moods. (I. E. "Freddie Prinze? Chico and the Man?" ) Well. anyhow, I am glad to see you back and hope your other computer is up and running again!:wave:

We think that is what happened to our computer. Back in the middle of September I was able to get Norton on sale in at Office Max. My Dell came with McAfee (A POS IMHO) I wanted to switch it and ran into all kinds of problems. Bottom line, the computer wouldn't let me delete the McAfee, only disable it (so I thought) My tech friend who has had the computer trying to fix it thinks that it was running in the background anyway fighting with Norton till it finally caused the whole system to go down.

I know I could have taken my computer to a company and had it done, but I am strapped for cash at the moment, and she does this for nothing for her friends. Plus, she has the ability to work with me to customize my system, something a company might not be willing to do, again for no cost.

I am now on Netscape and loving it, I still have to have a dialup modem, but this seems to be running faster than my old local ISP did. So hopefully I will be back in action again.

Oh and BTW I can't really do anything on the boards at school since I rarely have time to visit the ladies room at school, much less be on the internet, :( I am so d*** busy all the time! LOL School is going great this year, compared to last year, but I am still running around a lot! LOL

Hi Lucky :wave: Glad you're back. I thought you were so busy with school too. Darn these computers......

I guess that means she won't be writing any more fan fics until summer... <g> :)
