Never be obsessed with getting a boyfriend.

Here's why. Not too long ago I was chatting online with a few people I knew from school....one second they sign off and I get an IM from my friend, Devin, who I really like (but it wasn't really him), it was really those stupid girls pretending to be him. I had a REAL BIG hunch it was them because "Devin" was acting so strange and making me feel so uncompfortable and saying things I know he wouldn't do in real life. Anyway, I still kind of went along with it in case it really was him. But it wasn't....another clue I had is that when one of those girls signed off there regular screename....it was the exact same time "Devin" signed off.
Even though it was just some freaking evil trick, I still learned a lesson. Sounds dumb, but sometimes people will trick you if you have a big obsession that they know about.

I'm glad you realised it's usually not worth being obsessed with getting a boyfriend, Niki. :) It probably is best to wait a while...unless you felt that you were ready, of course. But it's good that you now know not to feel bad just because you haven't got one.

By the way, I remember you saying a little while ago that your parents were looking at getting you some counselling. How is that going? (Sorry if it sounds like I'm being nosy. I'm just curious to see how things are working out.)

Forget it--It's ok now, one of the girls said sorry today and I just told her I wasn't mad or anything....they only did it cause they were bored and had nothing else to do. So that means it's ok to obsessed with having a boyfriend, the only thing I did wrong was to put "I Heart Devin" in my AIM profile which may have been bad.

Anyway, everything's ok now--I was never really mad at them, just at what they did....
