I like so many singers to name a top five. I'll just say that my number 1 of all time is Stevie Wonder. But Solomon, you got a great list. I like all those singers, and I have lots of cds, but I don't have any by your list. I need to get some of Patti Labelle's music, and Minnie Riperton was good in her day. Al Jarreau is underrated, and Peabo Bryson and Natalie Cole got good music.

you do realize that Whitney was around years before the crack and reality show, right? Her voice has gone to hell but you can't tell me she didn't once have a phenomenal voice from her debut in 1984 to around Preacher's Wife era. Maybe "hell to the no" for present-day Whitney, but for the first 12 or 13 years of her career, HELL TO THE YEAH!

It is such a shame the way Whitney's life has turned out. I liked her and I still like alot of her older stuff. If it weren't for that loser husband of hers, she wouldn't be in the mess she's in. And the thing that makes me sick is that with everything he's gotten her into, she will still stand by her man!!:confused:
