I'm assuming your talking about me with sicgirl cause that is my website. Our trade is not pending. You lied and scammed your way out of it. I saw reacently on your list that you have what I was sending you so you probably set up two trades for the same thing without realizing it, then lied to get out of ours. I know a scammer when I see it, even if you are small time. I want nothing to do with you.

i hate to get back into it jasmion but the reason i didnt trade with u is that at first u said the are u afraid set was like 12 discs then it was 16 then finally when u posted me as a bad trader u told me that it was 20 discs u were out. i just was leary abou this. thats all. this is all im going to say about this as we have already beat this horse. i wound up getting a 6 disc set of are u afraid but it was not to my liking so i tarded it off. agian i can apoligize anymore as i dont really think i was in wrong.

It seems to me there was a misunderstanding in this situation. Perhaps lagged emails were to blame, or posting the need/want for a show in two areas- getting 2 responses.

If nothign was sent out Jas, maybe you can post what you made, as previously made, ready to be shipped for a new trade?

Phiber-maybe you lacked telling her in the past your tenativeness and that created frustration or harsh feelings.
Maybe being more upfront, in the future would help (politely so) :)

Sorry this took me so long to reply but I've been having comp problems. Let me ask you one thing, After I originally said it was 16 discs (Yes I originally said 16) then came back and said it was 21, did I ever ask you for more discs? NO! I got the number wrong the first time and wasn't going to ask you for anything more. The point is you said over and over again that the trade was still on and suddenly it seemed when you realized I was serious about not sending first, you lied and said you cancled the trade. If you really had been leary about the change in number, why didn't you ask me about it?

Well I have emailed you twice to no avail...the first package I sent you of 54 discs gets lost in the mail and you don't get it. Not your fault of course, but it still sucks for me. So we break the trade up to 16 discs, the delivery confirmation says you have gotten your package, but I do not have mine, and I have had no response from you, I just want an update...

So here's my question: When does this guy get considered a bad trader? He already admitted lying about our trade and if you go into the archive to see our original discussion you'll see him pulling typical scammer tactics: blaming me when I call him out as being a bad trader, changing his story. He just got caught lying again. Come on! I know some people, including savage, have had good trades with him but I've got an inbox full of people saying he did the same thing only worse since most of them have sent first and are out discs and I never sent him anything. Doesn't it seem funny to anyone that the people that have had good trades with him are either a mod/admin or someone that has been banned?

im neither banned nor a mod, and except for a little bit of speed the first trade(which he usually stayed in contact with me) i have now had 2 successful trades with him.

I am actually aware of the situation- and I am in contact with Chris (phiberosmosis) about the situation.

His work schedule shifted to a heavier amount and he had no time to adjust.
He plans on getting caught up and taking a break from trading until the end of holiday season-
And I feel that he will make good on his trades....
I have stressed to Chris communication is going to be important during this, and I know he is eager to get out from underneath it.

if there are people with stories about poor trades, then by all means tell those details first hand with facts and figures

but

its not fair to chris or anyone else to take jabs and drop hints about wrong doing

if a person has been wronged, its their duty as a member of this board to help keep it safe for everyone, and post the first hand account of the event

it helps no one to pm or email the next person and make their case

if theres a story tell it, and give whomever a shot at their side as well

theres no defense when someone drops hints and takes shots

first hand accounts by a couple of those people will put an end to this debate once and for all

and prove the case either way

thats a lot better for all concerned, isnt it

To asnwer Jasimon's question.

To me, someone is labeled a bad trader when one of the three occur.

1-Someone intentionally robs/misrepresents, decieves or manipulates their way into a trade, with no obvious plan to send or make a resolve to equal trade.

2-When someone for a duration of time has poor quality, with no attempt to remake, or redo their items- and not due to carelessness or mistake, simple lazily does a job, so he can fulfill sending something, anything. With no regard to quality, or further contenment.

3-When someone lies about their list, and or their inventory to simply get ahead- and gian inventory. Sending nothing and or blanks- stating they never received anything, or other various deceit that basically is done to get their stuff, and get out of the picture. Multiple id's, multiple emails and so forth.

There are more, to each situation. But this is an OUTLINE of what we as moderators and vetran traders look for.

Chris, has occasioanlyl gotten behind. Due to a burner probem, lakc of mdeia, work schedule changes etc.
But has completed every trade he has made.
He is working on better communication (ahem) :)
And above all is responsive to working things out.

Lately there was a situation I helped him moderate, in to which he was completely and utterly willing to work things out, after being displeased with the other persons items, to which I was able to actually see the quality and agree to, to a certian extent.

I don't believe this makes him a bad trader.

Yes at times I have stepped in, and reminded him to send an email, and there have been times I feel he took on too many trades.
But that is simply being a little greedy and a little too busy- and I know from experience many of us have encountered that.

So when does Chris become a bad trader?

When he stops trying. Stops emailing, stops working things out. When he completly and utterly ceases communication and stops responding to constructive criticism.

Having a misundertanding over the amount of discs, does not make a bad trader.

My advice to Chris, and all- is slow down. There is time to trade everything I firmly believe that.
-Ask for help, or patience if need be. Emailing is great, but make sure you get a response.
and 3- Realize that although your life may have changed, work, home etc- someone is waiting for your items- tell them whats going on, talk to them- bump up shipping if need be, but put yourself in their shoes.

And don't be afraid to contact me or another moderator for help. If you feel you got the bad end of the deal- if someone is being unfair- that is what we are here for.

Most of all, remember this is a hobby and supposed to be fun.
Let's not attack each other, over something long since happened. Be open minded, but most of all be forgiving now and then too.

hi there
i was not slamming u

we did 2 or 3 small trades and i got my stuff, and for the most part all was well.... a bit slow, but ok

the reason i was asking if u were caught up or not was we emailed a few weeks back remember and i asked about a small trade, and u had to get caught up first

rsvp

i was not trying to seem like a jerk at all
