Should JJ have stayed in the 11th grade or went on to the 12th without really deserving it?

I think a lot of people would have done what JJ did, but that was a good lesson in how James missed an opportunity for a job because he wasn't educated enough to know what words to use to express himself.

If you watched that for the first time, i think 95% of viewers would have thought J.J would have decided to stay in the 11th grade after hearing James tell his story about how he missed out on a job because of not being educated enough.

I loved what JJ said to Florida. "I said I was proud mama, not crazy".

That was funny. Besides, why would they leave an important decision like that to a kid who obviously wasn't educated enough and mature enough? Not very smart of the parents either!

Maybe the writers wanted to catch us off-guard. They probably expected the audience to ASSUME JJ would learn from James and stay in the 11th grade, but they fooled us.

What 11th grader would stay back? Not many especially when they see their friends getting ready to graduate, knowing that could be them. Not many teens would say "yeah I'll repeat the 11th grade."

Yeah that's true., especially if given the option.
