Has anyone seen any of the articles about Micheal C. Hall's ( David ) new show where he plays a fornsic expert who is also a serial killer?

Showtime's official announcement is here (http://www.sho.com/site/announcements/050915dexter.do). It only mentions that a pilot is being made and doesn't say if or when a full series will air. Still, it sounds sort of interesting.

I hope so, it would be a nifty twist to all of the crime shows that are already out there.

I agree. There's not much originality these days. All the new shows seem to be knock-offs of whatever the big hits were the season before, and "Dexter" definitely sounds like it would be a little different. Also, I think Hall would be perfect for the role. He's always looked to me like the stereotypical mild-mannered intellectual, but with the potential for something sinister just beneath the surface.
