View Full Version : Bye Bye Red Sox theshark8777 10-07-2005, 07:40 PM Looks like the Red Sox get swept! rusyd 10-07-2005, 07:59 PM Go White Sox!!!  Chelsea 10-07-2005, 08:00 PM Given my personal team loyalties (Cubs, Red Sox), and given the possibility of New York beating the Angels ...in a potential ALCS matchup, would I rather cheer for the Yankees...or the White Sox? Eh, screw it, I'd rather just watch hockey should that happen. TJL 10-07-2005, 08:07 PM I'm not gonna say anything... ;) Wings#1ShowPeriod 10-07-2005, 09:17 PM Although I wanted to see another Red Sox/Yankees Showdown... Im glad the White Sox won.. they deserved it, they have great starting pitching, there a great team and whomever they face in the ALCS is going to be a good matchup... Rene 10-07-2005, 09:40 PM i wanted to cry AllIWantIsYourClutch 10-07-2005, 10:07 PM HECK YES. Bad for ratings, good for Yankee haters. Mr. Television 10-08-2005, 12:39 AM Angels vs. White Sox is looking like a real possibility for the ALCS. Bad for ratings, good for Yankee haters. Last year the Redsox ended the curse, maybe this year the White Sox can end their jinx. They haven't won it since 1917 and seem to have been punish for decades over the 1919 Black Sox incident  Dutabi84 10-08-2005, 12:52 AM Last year the Redsox ended the curse, maybe this year the White Sox can end their jinx. They haven't won it since 1917 and seem to have been punish for decades over the 1919 Black Sox incident  Oh yeah, I remember something about that, but all you ever hear(ed) about are the curses of the Red Sox and the Cubs. 88 years is quite a drought. Wouldn't it be something if they decided to throw the World Series this year? Haha. Janice 10-08-2005, 01:11 AM Very dissapointed, although I am happy to see the season END. I get my husband back. I'm always happy to see it go. Rene 10-08-2005, 01:15 AM Awww Buck up, they just won the World Series last year-lol lol yea im just soo mad- first they lose then the news of ramirez's possible trade Brian 10-08-2005, 01:39 AM I hope the White Sox win the whole thing (unless the Padres get to the WS as well but the chances are slim). This was the first postseason series for the ChiSox win since 1917, when they won the World Series. Mr. Television 10-08-2005, 01:42 AM I hope the White Sox win the whole thing (unless the Padres get to the WS as well but the chances are slim). This was the first postseason series for the ChiSox win since 1917, when they won the World Series. I'd like to see the White Sox and the Astros. Brian Damage 10-08-2005, 01:47 AM As a Yankee fan, I was relieved. I wouldn't be able to stand yet another series with the dreaded Red Sox. lol Not that the Yanks are going to get that far, because they have their own problems with the Angels. Pavan 10-08-2005, 11:24 AM I still think the Yankees have enough to win in 5 with the Angels. FOX sure hopes so, they don't want the White Sox vs. the Angels in the ALCS, lol. Imagine if they had the White Sox. vs. the Astros in the World Series, nightmare for FOX. Dr. Jazz 10-08-2005, 11:56 AM I still think the Yankees have enough to win in 5 with the Angels. FOX sure hopes so, they don't want the White Sox vs. the Angels in the ALCS, lol. Imagine if they had the White Sox. vs. the Astros in the World Series, nightmare for FOX. I believe the Yankees can beat the Angels too, but the Angels have the upper hand right now. The Yankees pitching has to be near perfect in today's game and I don't think Chacon has pitched against the Angels this year. The Yankees also have to rely heavily on hitting power when it comes to playing the Angels. If the Yankees get eliminated today, it will still be comforting to know that Boston's out of it too ;) Pavan 10-08-2005, 12:51 PM Chacon's first game as a Yankee was vs. the Angels at Yankee Stadium. He gave up 0 ER in 6 innings, but the Yankee bullpen blew it, but the Yankees held on 8-7. TVFactFan 10-08-2005, 01:01 PM To make Red Sox Fans Feel better, THe Yankees will be GONE too after losing Game 4 Brian Damage 10-08-2005, 01:06 PM How can you be so sure? TJL 10-08-2005, 02:22 PM Although I wanted to see another Red Sox/Yankees Showdown... Im glad the White Sox won.. they deserved it, they have great starting pitching, there a great team and whomever they face in the ALCS is going to be a good matchup... Considering the way the Yankees played last night, I wouldn't be surprised if the White Sox won it all. Dr. Jazz 10-09-2005, 12:06 AM Chacon's first game as a Yankee was vs. the Angels at Yankee Stadium. He gave up 0 ER in 6 innings, but the Yankee bullpen blew it, but the Yankees held on 8-7. Thanks for the stats, Pav. You may be an even bigger Yankee fan than me, if that's possible  KJH278 10-09-2005, 02:26 AM Thanks for the stats, Pav. You may be an even bigger Yankee fan than me, if that's possible  Where did you get that Yankees Avatara Brian 10-10-2005, 11:46 PM It will now be neither Boston or NY in the ALCS this year. Angels just won. Mr. Television 10-10-2005, 11:49 PM Yep it will be Chicago and LA and Houston and St. Louis. I wonder who FOX is rooting for now. TVFactFan 10-10-2005, 11:51 PM Yep it will be Chicago and LA and Houston and St. Louis. I wonder who FOX is rooting for now. Yes, I'm Glad the yankees are DONE!!!!!!! Dr. Jazz 10-10-2005, 11:57 PM Yes, I'm Glad the yankees are DONE!!!!!!! I hope you NEVER find the other 25 epsidoes of CPO Sharkey  I'll be rooting heavily for the Chicago White Sox now, a team I've always liked but couldn't root for because of my loyalty to the Yankees. I hope they make it to the World Series, which they haven't won since 1917. I don't like the Cardinals, so I hope Houston takes them out.
