View Full Version : MSN TV 2 was OVERHYPED and I had to cancel it last night
TVFactFan 10-06-2005, 02:51 PM I had it for 2 weeks and been having nothing but problems. It doesn't allow you to recieve emails from certain websites and it's was not worth the hype. But here is what lead to the cancellation, last night i couldn;t go to...............................SITCOMSONLINE. So you know it was over after that. I was like oh hell no I'm cancelling this sh*T tonight. So i'm back to MSNTV one instead of Two because I can do more on the regular version. And if anyone askes why I just don;t get a computer, it's because Ican;t afford one. I would prefer a Lap Top but can;t afford that either.lol

GET A COMPUTER!!! You got a credit card?? Charge it, pay it off over time. I used to have Web TV and the difference between that and a computer...there's no comparison. Anyway, winter is coming soon. It's cold outside, so you'll probably be going out less. You can save the money you would use on blind dates and put that towards a computer. Dump MSNTV and GET A COMPUTER!!!

ooooh careful Soloman, would hate to see you get in trouble...but i do understand...you got him good!!!
I seem to notice the ones that post such idiotic stuff like that tend to post very little to begin with...look at how many posts that person has...not worth it.

yeah, they can't post real "posts" so they just post what little comes to their minds.
Anyhow, i hope you get your laptop soon. $$$ is hard to come by and it's not easy to just go out and get what you want. It may be easy for some but the rest know there are other things that must come first.
dawsongirl 10-06-2005, 04:44 PM When we had DSL, it was MSN, and I swear it wouldn't let me into my Yahoo mail. And then Yahoo dialup wouldn't let me in my mom's hotmail. Dumbest crap I've ever seen.

Wow, r u serious??? how can crap like that even happen? With all the technology it seems the easiest things become the hardest things.
TVFactFan 10-06-2005, 06:22 PM I wasn't going to cancel at first but when I was on MSNTV2 and tried to go to SitcomsOnline and I received a message saying-"Website no longer exist" that was it for me. I threw sh*t right in the trash.

Haha, you don't even know who he is. He had another name and it had about 17,000 posts. Note his birthday in both profiles.

Yo, Solomon. I'm confused. I was under the impression you had a computer. You don't have a laptop either like you mentioned. What are you using to post online?
vashti1999 10-06-2005, 07:49 PM What are you using to post online?
It hooks up to your tv and that's how you surf the web, it's an internet connection without a computer. I still have the old Web TV version but haven't used it in years.

There is a Receiver on top of my tv, like a cable box and it hooks to the TV just like cable would.

I use a computer during the day
The Chauffeur 10-07-2005, 04:04 PM I know you want a laptop and a DVD recorder, alot of us do:lol:, but maybe you should look into getting a barebone computer just for now. You can pick one up for much cheaper than you probably expect, and you can probably find a cheap internet service if you dig hard enough. You can probably do all of this without breaking yourself too badly.

The Problem is I have nothing in my apt to Put the Computer on. A friend of mine had hers sitting on the floor-lol That's why most single people with no kids either have a laptop or MsnTv. It's usually familes that have a computer

:yeahthat
You can pick up a barebones Dell computer for $300 (a pretty damn great price). And if you want to, you can build your own computer with all the fun gizmos and it won't break your pocket.
Computers today are WAY cheaper than they were in the 80's and even the 90's. A fully loaded computer in 1995 was $3500. omg:
You can buy a cheap computer desk at Kmart for under $100...Hell, I think you can get one for $75 or even $50.

A lot of small buisiness computer stores put together one themselves for $100 - 150. The good thing abouut these are they are upgradable so that later on, you can beef it up a lot more than you can with a big name computer.

Is the problem space in your apartment or not the right furniture to put it on? If it's the latter, I'de look into going to a thrift store, you can find some pretty useful stuff for next to nothing.;)

Oh Well it's rare, most single people I know find it easier to buy a Laptop. Plus a Computer wouldn't do me any good because I like to watch sports and talk about it on the web. Which means if I had a computer I couldn;t do both.

I understand that completely.
