The Sol Pomerantz episode was n the other day....with the dinner party and the stuffy sponsor. This is a funny episode, but I never understood the ending. All of a sudden Laura and Rob are singing at the piano. Was something cut?

That is the tag scene at the end. The implication is they relived the day they met at Camp Crowder for the Bermonts and they sang that song for them "13 times." They did the reprise for us. Nothing was cut from that scene. There are edits earlier in the episode, but I don't remember what they are.

there's 2 Sol Pomerantz episodes in the 1st season. "Oh how we met, the night that we danced" & "Sol and the sponsor" which is the one you mention. Those were the only 2 times that Marty Ingalls played him. Whenever they showed him after that, he was played by Alan Mellville.

...and Rob had another Army buddy named Sam Pomerantz, right? in the "The Sam Pomerantz Scandals"...:crazy:

that's right; I forgot about him! I'm probably going to watch that episode tonight. (I like to watch my DVDs before I go to bed, sometimes).

But, the other poster was talking about SOL[U] Pomerantz, not Sam.
