But DirectTV is the right cable to have. Why can't you get it in your neighborhood? Not because of the dish is it? I've had both and I prefer Satellite. The picture on regular channels is clearer than on cable. MsOrange 10-05-2005, 12:14 PM Digital... i like watching TV when it rains TVFactFan 10-05-2005, 12:14 PM Why can't you get it in your neighborhood? Not because of the dish is it? I've had both and I prefer Satellite. The picture on regular channels is clearer than on cable. Because I live in downtown Philadelphia and the tall Buildings blocked the signal for Directv and they were unable to install the dish. And yes i cried because i wanted the NFL Sunday Ticket, which is more fun than sex to lots of men-lol Wait let me rephrase that, the Sunday NFL Ticket is sex-LOL The Chauffeur 10-05-2005, 01:04 PM Digital,it's more pricey, but I love OnDemad and from what I've seen, satellite looks a little washed out picture wise than digital does. dawsongirl 10-05-2005, 03:49 PM Totally satellite. If nothing else, the picture is 100000x better. My aunt has digital cable and I think her picture looks terrible. And if she has the VCR on, the picture gets even worse. I can use the same VCR (it's mine afterall anyway) and hook it up to my dish, and with it on, it looks the same as if it were off. I hate cable. TVFactFan 10-05-2005, 04:47 PM Totally satellite. I know exactly what you are talking about, with digital cable, the picture quality is better when recording something off tv if the VCR is off. It doesn;t look as Sharp if the VCR is on. I WANT DIRECTV Southern Hellraiser 10-05-2005, 05:23 PM Satellite. We had DirecTV since 1997 or 1998, but we switched to Digital Cable in August. The good thing about is that we can pause it. Brad Russ 10-05-2005, 09:25 PM Definitely digital!! The main reason is because you can get on Demand. There's nothing like being able to watch movies, and shows on your own schedule. Friends of mine have had too many problems with satellite, and I don't have the patience for that kind of stuff. The only thing I hate about digital is the high price, but I guess it's worth it, since me and my roomates each pay a third of the bill. TVFactFan 10-05-2005, 09:38 PM I thought I heard that DirecTv had a On Demand Feature Brad Russ 10-06-2005, 02:13 AM I thought I heard that DirecTv had a On Demand Feature I'm not sure. If it does have it, and is cheaper than digital, I might consider switching. The Chauffeur 10-06-2005, 12:41 PM I thought I heard that DirecTv had a On Demand Feature Nope, I just checked it out a few weeks ago, I was at the time considering changing myself. But I decided to stay with digital. TVFactFan 10-06-2005, 07:49 PM Nope, I just checked it out a few weeks ago, I was at the time considering changing myself. But I decided to stay with digital. I will say that Digital has made some big improvements in the last 3 years. rusyd 10-06-2005, 09:47 PM Digital Cable, it doesn't go down in storms, you can get on demand shows and it requires very little equipment. I agree. |
