View Full Version : Lindsay Lohan Involved In Car Accident...AGAIN!
8SRLVR 10-04-2005, 10:22 PM From MTV.com:
Lindsay Lohan was involved in a car accident in which at least one person was sent to the hospital in West Hollywood, California, on Tuesday.
Lohan crashed her convertible Mercedes-Benz head-on into a red van on Robertson Boulevard, according to "The Insider" reporter Victoria Recano, who told The Associated Press she happened to be nearby and witnessed the accident.
Recano said Lohan and a friend immediately ran from the car to the Hideaway House Antiques store. A worker at the store told the AP Lohan was upset, repeating, "Oh my God, I can't believe it."
Police confirmed a car belonging to Lohan was involved in a collision and that the driver- and passenger-side airbags deployed, but could not confirm the actress was driving and had no other information.
Last August, Lohan, who is now 19, allegedly caused a head-on collision in Studio City. The occupants of that car sued the actress in February.
And this summer, Lohan was involved in an accident with a paparazzo, who was accused of hitting her on purpose and was arrested for assault.

LOS ANGELES - Lindsay Lohan and two other people were taken to a hospital Tuesday after the actress' black Mercedes-Benz convertible collided with a van in West Hollywood, authorities said.
Witnesses said Lohan was trying to avoid paparazzi photographers when the crash occurred.
Lohan and a female passenger in her car suffered minor injuries, said Los Angeles County sheriff's Sgt. Diane Hecht.
The driver of the van, which was knocked into a parked vehicle, suffered moderate injuries, Hecht said. The identities of Lohan's passenger and the male driver of the van were not immediately released.
The accident, was witnessed by a number of people, including a reporter for the syndicated television show "The Insider."
"Insider" reporter Victoria Recano told The Associated Press she saw Lohan and a passenger run into an antique store immediately after the collision.
Javier Ramirez, who works at the store, said he recognized Lohan.
"She was very upset," Ramirez told the AP. "She kept saying, 'Oh my God, oh my God, I can't believe it.'"
Ramirez said Lohan and her passenger left after a few minutes and although both were shaken up, neither appeared badly hurt.
Television news footage showed a badly damaged black Mercedes outside the store with both its driver- and passenger-side air bags inflated.
The sheriff's department said the driver of the van appeared to be turning in front of Lohan's car when the vehicles collided. There was no evidence alcohol was involved in the crash, Hecht said in a news release.
Witnesses said dozens of paparazzi photographers had been following Lohan through the area before the crash. At one point, according to Lori Satzberg, 43, several photographers tried to take pictures of Lohan as she shopped at a clothing store. The photographers then followed her outside to her car.
"She got into her black Mercedes across the street and they literally were like sitting on her car, trying to take pictures of her, she was like yelling at them to get off," Satzberg said.
The crash was the second one Lohan, 19, has been involved in recent months.
Police said the star of such films as "Mean Girls" and "Herbie: Fully Loaded" was attempting to evade a paparazzi photographer in June when the photographer crashed his car into her Mercedes. She suffered cuts and bruises in that crash but did not seek medical attention.
The photographer was arrested for investigation of assault with a deadly weapon. Police said it appeared he deliberately crashed into the actress' vehicle.
A new state law signed Friday allows victims of paparazzi assaults to file lawsuits seeking up to three times the damages they suffered. The law goes into effect Jan. 1
Karen* 10-05-2005, 12:42 AM Poor Lohan. Where's her chauffeur when she needs him? :(
SBTB Geek 10-05-2005, 02:09 AM LOL.. I was around the area and let me just tell you guys... this crash caused a HUGE, HUGE commotion. There were so many people on the street discussing what was happening, spreading rumors immediately.
Supposedly this accident was Lindsay's fault, however she blamed the paparazzi again. Everyone was saying that she was hysterically screaming and saying that she needed help with some cuts, which were bleeding but were very minor. She made it seem as if she was dying. She was taken by ambulance right after.
The accident caused ALOT of traffic (which is how I found out what was happening.) LOL, there was even like 4 helicopters over the scene.

Seriously, Why can't the paparazzi leave her the f:censored:k alone?! Sure, she may be hot and popular, but SHE NEEDS PRIVACY :censored: DAMMIT!! Thank God, California signed a new state law that allows victims of paparazzi assaults to file lawsuits seeking up to three times the damages they suffered. If I was Linsday, I'd sue the media for at least $3 Million. No wonder she wrote "Rumors". You know what? I have an idea: Grab all of Lindsay's fans, travel to a street corner in Los Angeles, hand out signs and flyers, march and chant "PAPARAZZI, GO HOME; LEAVE LINDSAY THE F:censored:K ALONE!!!" We'll call it the "Million Anti-Paparazzi March." It'll be AWSEOME!!!
Superstar 10-05-2005, 03:22 AM She appears to be a bad driver
Superstar 10-05-2005, 03:53 PM The first picture is from the crash, the second is from her crash on June 1.

I just read on MSN that police are saying the accident actually was other driver's fault not the paparazzi's or Lindsay's. Evidently he made an illegal U turn.
musicradio77 10-05-2005, 10:46 PM That was sad. I saw it on the Today show this morning that Lindsay was in a car accident trying to get away with the papparazi. It was the worst since Princess Diana where she was in a car accident and finally ended up dying. That was so sad.:( I hope Lindsay will feel better soon until her recovery. Get well soon.

I Retract My Statement. This is Why:
From MTV.com:
A day after Lindsay Lohan was involved in a car crash in West Hollywood, California, police said they don't believe paparazzi were a factor in the accident.
Lohan's reps had said the actress was being pursued by photographers at the time of
the incident, but authorities suspect the collision may have been a result of a van making an illegal U-turn in front of the actress' car.
"Photographers were not involved, not at all," Lieutenant Keith Swensson told the Los Angeles Times. The official cause of the wreck has not yet been determined. Lohan and a female passenger suffered minor injuries in the incident and were taken to a hospital, as was the driver of the van, who had moderate injuries.
The accident happened just a few blocks from the spot where Lohan's car was rammed by a paparazzo earlier this year, an incident that led to the photographer's arrest on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon. In light of that and several other incidents involving stars and paparazzi, Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger signed a new state law that cracks down on photographers who commit assault while pursuing a subject. The law goes into effect on January 1.
Though two paparazzi were shooting photos of a distressed Lohan and her seriously damaged car within seconds of the accident, Swensson said authorities are considering whether the driver of the van made an illegal U-turn. "The only person who is likely to be cited in this case is the van driver," said sheriff's department spokesperson Steve Whitmore. "Lindsay Lohan is an innocent victim in all of this."
Lohan's publicist, Leslie Sloane Zelnick, issued a statement Tuesday night calling the crash "another example of the paparazzi endangering citizens, both Ms. Lohan and the other driver involved in the collision," according to the Times.
Investigators downplayed a paparazzi connection, but witnesses said Lohan had been trailed by photographers earlier in the day while she ate lunch and shopped and was aware that she was being followed by a photographer in an SUV just moments before the crash.
According to the Times, the van involved in the accident was driven by Raymundo Ortega, an employee of the Newsroom Café, who was trying to pull into a parking space when he was struck by a fast-moving Lohan. The actress and her passenger ran into a nearby antiques store immediately after the wreck, while Ortega stumbled into the street and was helped by fellow Café employees.
Ortega told "Access Hollywood" that Lohan — who, he said, did not approach him to check on his condition — was not being pursued by any cars when the accident happened.
