There was a survey on the radio about who hates surprise parties and I would just hit the floor. I would be so mad at the person who set up a surprise party for me. Talk about feeling arkward and uncomfortable. To Anyone who has had a surprise party, was it the most annoying thing in the world?

I was honored. I didn't find anything offensive about it at all.

I've actually had a surprise party nearly two years ago done by my co-workers. They invited me to eat at my favorite restaurant, Applebee's, and they all pitched in for a gift certificate. I was touched. In reality, I was a bit embarrassed because I kinda felt uncomfortable from all the attention. I wasn't upset with them or anything, though. It just kinda felt weird to have all that attention towards me because they were all asking about my reaction, what I thought, did I sense anything, etc. Overall, it's not too bad.

I've never had a surprise party. I don't really care for parties, though. I prefer just having a small get together with family for supper and pie and gifts afterwards. Besides, I would hate to have so much fuss made over me, anyway.

I'm thinking people who are naturally shy are the ones most likely to not enjoy a surprise party birthday party thrown in their honor. Or people who are not comfortable with their age and getting older. I guess it really depends on the person's personality whether or not they would like a surprise party or not. Me personally, I'd love one! :)

I used to be very anti-surprise party and sort of freaked out on my friends when I found out that they were planning on throwing one for me. But now, I don't think I'd mind if someone wanted to throw me a surprise party.

I am shy and somewhat modest/humble, but I do sorta enjoy the surprise birthday parties. It's like a half-and-half thing. I enjoy them/feel honored, yet I feel somewhat embarrassed/don't want the attention. I dunno how else to explain it. It's just like a median thing for me, I guess.

i'd probably be pissed off and leave and stay as far away from it as possible. hell i had a planned birthday party when i was eight and i just hated the idea so much that i went off by myself and avoided everyone else the whole time. haven't had another one since, thank god.

It'd be awkward, but I wouldn't be mad because I know it was set up with good intentions. Never had one, though.
