laura a 10-04-2005, 07:28 AM Hi fellow moonlighting fanatics ,its my first time on the forum but ive spent many an evening reading all of your threads .Anyway just thought i would let anybody thats interested know that abc1 are showing moonlighting again. Im from the uk so for all you die hard british fans its on midnight 12.00am GMT time,i dont know about everybody else though. It looks as though they are being shown in order. They are currently showing season 1, last nights was Brother Can You Spare A Blonde.
.Ps a little bit of trivia , the reason bruce wore his watch on his right wrist was bacause he is left handed so it was easier for him to put it on, i know this as i am am left handed as well and i wear mine on my right too.
Well bye for now, would love to hear from anyone else thats as made about moonlighting as i am. Laura a

Tazmania 10-04-2005, 01:49 PM Welcome Laura!
Funny the watchthing was on my mind yesterday.
Also funny is that Cybill also wore her watch on the right in a lot of epi's......
She's righthanded btw.

gypsygem81 10-05-2005, 02:38 AM hi Laura
That's odd, because my abc1 shuts off at 6pm. Are they different in different regions? My tv guide still lists Moonlighting as being on at 9.20am, yet is isn't actually on at that time! Why are they doing this to me?!!

Hi Gem its laura a here , just read your reply. You dont say where you`re from but im guessing your not from the UK though. Here in the uk people can pick up abc 1 in a few ways either by satelite which is broadcasted via a network called SKY TV or via cable which is broadcasted by a company called NTL or you can get it via a thing called Freeview( british readers will know) Now i dont know if the abc network differs from country to country but in the UK at the moment abc1 are broadcasting throughout the night now,but your right they did shut down at 630 pm Maybe its only on Sky satelite tv that they go on through the night .
Maybe if there are any other UK forum members out there they could let me know .Ive just checked my tv guide and they are showing[ Money Talks,Maddie Walks] tonight.
Anyway nice to hear from you Gem lets chat again soon...

gypsygem81 10-05-2005, 01:10 PM hi Laura
I'm sorry, I wasn't very clear in my reply. Yes, I am from the UK, I'm in Wales. I have abc1 on freeview, so maybe that differs from Sky? I'm not sure, but mine definately does not go on through the night.
Sorry, for not making myself clear.

kismet 10-05-2005, 01:18 PM Why do your stations end so early?
Do you have to pay for that channel or is it included in a cable/satellite system?
Is it like HBO or Cinemax in the U.S.? The channels that are called premium channels here (we pay extra for them) go 24 hours a day.
Unfortunately, no channel carries Moonlighting here as far as I know. Bravo did carry ML a couple of years ago but my cable system just added Bravo about 2 years ago so I wasn't able to re-tape any of the shows like other fans in the U.S. were doing. I sure could have used new tapes - mine are in terrible shape due to bad tracking and over-use.
gypsygem81 10-05-2005, 01:23 PM I don't know why it ends so early. But I don't pay any extra for it so I guess that's why.

I get abc1 though Telewest and it ends at 6pm on that too even though I pay for Telewest!
gypsygem81 10-06-2005, 11:17 AM So are they showing ML where you are Tamm?

kismet 10-06-2005, 11:45 AM Prime TV viewing time occurs here from 8pm until 11pm.
Do other channels in the U.K. stay on during the evening or all through the night? Most of the channels here now stay on all night, although lots of the stuff is now infomercials which I do not watch.
When I was young, most of the stations did not broadcast after 1am or so.
I'm an insomniac so I need my TV 24 hours a day. If I can't sleep, I just slip in a ML DVD or a BW/CS DVD to make me happy.
I hope they release season 3 soon. I hope they are working on it now.
Yes Kismet there is TV 24 hours a day in the UK too!
Gem, they are advertising ML for 9.20 am but I am at work then so don't know if they actually show it
toddtopbanana 10-06-2005, 05:45 PM No, definitely not on at 9.20am :( General Hospital is though....oh boy, something to look forward eh?
We can but hope, us poor saps with Telewest, that they'll see sense and give us Moonlighting at midnight...or 9.20...or...oh, anytime, who cares!!!
laura a 10-09-2005, 01:13 PM HI its laura a here again , ive just been reading your replies and im really sorry that you cant pick up abc1 after a certain time . if you want to check out the tv guide for sky tv yourselves here is a linkwww.sky.comjust click on the home page then on the left of your screens click on TV GUIDE and then look for abc1 it has a full listing for the whole night. I wouldnt worry too much though because most of you must have the dvds anyway.By the the way ive just watched Hostage and loved it , i just wish bruce would give us that gorgeous smile a little more often and do some more COMEDY!! maybe with cybill even please! please!
toddtopbanana 10-12-2005, 02:34 AM Just checked the on-screen TV guide for today and Moonlighting is on this morning at 9.20:D !!! At last that's what it says, and this is for Telewest Birmingham, so I'll wait and see. Today's epi is listed as the Portrait of Maddie
toddtopbanana 10-12-2005, 07:18 AM Right, yeah. Still General Hospital :( I checked I had the right channel, and it still showed the info for ML even tho' the other program was on. How come they charge us so much and give us such c**p!!!:(
sitcomsuk 10-14-2005, 04:44 PM Just to clear this up, ABC1 is available 24 hours on Sky and NTL.
However on the Freeview service, ABC1 has to timeshare with another channel, so ABC1 must end at 18:00 so the other channel can start.
So, if you want 24 hour ABC1, Sky or NTL are the platforms you need!

I guess that explains it then. I'm half tempted to get Sky, not just for Moonlighting, also because they've started showing Cybill on Paramount now as well. Hmmmm....
Thanks for the info!

Must be the same on Telewest. Maybe now it has been bought by NTL it might change
