Make a new post, then go to Manage Attachements and select the pic from your computer that you want.
Chelsea 10-04-2005, 09:55 PM By the way, none of those are mine...I WISH I owned one of those..:(
Steve M. 10-08-2005, 01:29 PM It would be great if you could find a picture of a prototype DeLorean sedan! It was planned for 1984 but obviously never made it to market. :(
Deloreans got a lot of criticism, but I think they're great looking cars.
Sharop 10-09-2005, 10:27 AM DeLoreans are time machines! Well...one of them, anyway.
Doc Brown: "If you're going to build a time machine into a car, why not do it with some style?"
theshark8777 10-09-2005, 10:29 AM Who the hell would paint a stainless steel car black?

I kinda like the black one, but yes, you're right, it's silly.

Netiquette lesson #19a: When an administrator of a site has made it clear that a certain thing "bothers" them, it's generally not a good idea to continue to push the buttons of someone with control of the Big Red Buttom [TM]
Seriously though, I've actually gotta admit the red one isn't that bad. STill though, isn't one of the points to owning a DeLorean to have that trademark silver, no-paint, stainless steel look?
theshark8777 10-09-2005, 01:05 PM Thats like a Grand National that isn't black.
Steve M. 10-09-2005, 02:55 PM As with any manufacturer, the late John DeLorean couldn't stop custoners from souping up their cars any more the Heinz Nordhoff (the first postwar general director of Volkswagen) could stop folks from turning Beetles into dune buggies or replacing the four-cylinder engine with a small-block Chevy V-8.

Okay, who said he could?
Steve M. 10-09-2005, 09:02 PM Okay, who said he could?
Well, I sure as heck didn't! :D
Fleet 10-09-2005, 09:23 PM Those Deloreans were kind of phony. I checked a few Delorean message boards and those cars run 0-60 mph in "a little under" 9 seconds and a 17-second 1/4 mile. About the same as a 318 Dodge Dart!
A '69 Cadillac de Ville (not known as a performance car) can run a 16.5-sec 1/4 mile!
The handling of the Deloreans is probably as unimpressive as its 1/4 mile time!
BTW, one guy on that message board lists the cars he owns...
- '77 Pacer
- '75 Chevy Vega (There's still some left?)
- '90 Yugo
- 2 Corvairs
- '88 Yugo
This guy should start his own car club-- Wimpmobiles Unlimited!

Me either! :)
