Rocknoggin 10-04-2005, 09:15 PM Yeh, I was wondering what became of him as well. I was pretty surprised to find such a sparse resume for Ralph when I went to imdb.com. It only lists "Good Times" as his acting credit. We know for a fact he did the Broadway musical "Raisin", but then again that's not TV or film. So Ralph did NOTHING after Good Times?? He was a talented young actor, albeit an extremely feminine-acting actor. Maybe that's what held him back from going beyond the show. Or maybe it's like the Brooke Sheilds syndrome in that she started out as a really natural little child actress and then she gradually lost that sense of naturalness and just ended up a bad actress that no one needed--until later). Also, can someone tell me why Wilona called Michael "Gramps"? I've just started with the season one DVD (although I remember it as a kid) and there's no explanation about that nickname. Wilona just calls him that. Hope someone can give us SOME kind of insight on Ralph. He was likable. Brieannas21 10-05-2005, 12:40 AM Yeh, I was wondering what became of him as well. Willona called Michael Gramps because he had an old soul and was very smart and knowledgeable on different social topics. Ralph Cater moved to Africa for a while so that's probably why you really haven't heard anything about him lately. I think now he lives in NY or Cali, not sure. I still think it should have been said why she called him that on the show because i always used to wonder why she called him that when I first watched Good Times in 1989 hatwink 10-05-2005, 06:33 PM Ralph is from Brooklyn and I think he lives in the NYC area, he seems to be very involved in the community. From hearing him talk on an interview around 19 years back, he also comes off as very intelligent. |
