Yeah, it looks like Sony Pictures took over. Because lately, I've been seeing Sony Pictures logo instead of Columbia-TriStar after the end credits of some shows and now when that music plays when you first put in the DVD. But I think it's cool. :) Mister Ed 12-01-2005, 08:50 PM Will Sony be putting its name on older releases before they bought the company? For example: The King of Queens: Season 1 (Had Columbia logo on box) The King of Queens: Season 4 (Had Sony logo on box) I don't think it's that way, because "Sony" has been in business for nearly a year now (seasons 1-3 of Seinfeld were the last Columbia Tristar releases before the switchover) and the older titles still have the old C-T logo on them unless they end up re-releasing them. I think it's like how record companies can change and yet you'll still see old imprints on new pressings of the old titles. For example, Portrait Records folded around 1987 or 1988, and you'll still see "Portrait Records" on copies of Cyndi Lauper's "True Colors" cd from 1986, which hasn't yet been remastered, but yet remastered cd's by Sade, Heart and Cyndi's own "She's So Unusual" that were originally Portrait releases now have "Epic" on them instead. |
