I love Alex Rodriguez, but David Ortiz seems to get the big hits when the Sox need them the most. Plus, no offense to Red Sox fans, but without Ortiz, I don't think the Red Sox would be that good at least not as good as they are now.

My vote goes to David Ortiz just slightly.

A-Rod without question. Unless the numbers are not even close, how can you give the MVP to a DH?

I know the DH thing hurts Ortiz, but he is the most valuable player to his team. A-rod is a great player, but he isn't the most valuable player to his team, Mariano Rivera is.

A-Rod - just as many GW-RBI as Ortiz. Gold Glove third base in second year at postion. Any more questions?

A-Rod. He plays excellent defense and has a higher batting average, has one more HR and more game winning RBI's. Only thing Ortiz has over A-Rod is total RBI's.

I agree Mo is more valuable to his team than A-Rod, though. Mo should get Cy Young. But I think Manny is more valuable than Ortiz for his team.
