BET comedy awards came on this past Tuesday. Martin Lawrence won a comedy icon award. Chris Rock presented him with the award when he came on stage with his daughter to accept. The audience gave him a standing ovation. Tichina Arnold & Tisha Campbell were in the audience smiling when Martin got his award. I'm glad BET recognized him for his achievements. Martin is a legend. He's so silly. When he spoke about his award, he said what you saw on the big screen of my achievements is because i did it my way. He said i remember when i first got started in this business & people told me that i couldn't say this & i couldn't do that. He said i did it my way & that's why i became successful. I like the speech he made. Martin is the type of person that he doesn't sugarcoat anything. If white america don't like what he does, that's too damn bad because Martin is gonna do his thing the way he wants to & that's why his tv show was so successful for so long. That's also why Def Comedy Jam was successful for so long when he was the host of it & that's why his earlier movies like House Party 1 & 2, Boomerang, A Thin Line Between Love & Hate, Bad Boys, Blue Streak, Big Momma's House, Life were successful because he did things his way. Much respect to Martin & i'm glad he won a award. He also said when he made his speech that he was starting to feel like Little Richard because he don't win no awards LOL.

Notice how much weight Martin gained over the years? I saw that part but I fell asleep on the last hour. He deserved to get recognized. He is a legend for this era. He's not the funniest, but he's pretty funny. My favorite movies of his is Big Momma's House, Nothing To Lose, and Blue Streak. I liked his earlier movies too. I liked his stand ups You So Crazy and Runteldat. I also like Martin becuase he got a lot of Richard Pryor in him.

Yeah he has gotten fat. Remember when he shot up Will Smith's glove compartment in the car in Bad Boys 2 when they were chasing after the bad dudes on the freeway? Hahahahahahahahahaha. Will said what are you doing man? Shoot outside, not inside LOL. They showed that part on the big screen at BET comedy awards before Martin won his award.

Yeah, that was a trip. I liked Bad Boys 1 better than II. Part II was good though. How about you?

I like part 1 better than part 2 also. Part 2 was good though. Adding Gabrielle Union to the cast of part 2 was a good idea. I love Gabrielle with her fine self. Did you see the sexy outfit Theresa Randle had on in part 2 when she was in the kitchen at her & Martin's house? Her breasts were almost hangin out her outfit LOL.
