While there are HUNDREDS of funny lines of dialog for Alice, my favorite would have to be in the episode where Bobby plays the drums constantly.
Alice and Carol are puttering around in Carol's closet putting clothes away or someting, pretty early in the day. We hear Bobby's fiasco-like drum-playing kick in, and after Carol concedes that the kid is terrible, Alice says:
"Mrs. Brady, every day Bobby plays just a little bit worse than the day before -- and TODAY, he's playing like TOMORROW."
I just find that so hilarious!
For sad dialog, it has to be Alice's speech to the kids about canceling Christmas since Carol had laryngitis and looked unlikely to be able to sing at church. Although I do not have the direct quote, I can say that it chokes me up and makes me weep every time I see it. The Brady Bunch kicks butt!
