As crazy and dumb sometimes as GI was but always funny did anyone even realize that out of all the stupidity that the professors ideas and theorys were based on fact? its true his ideas that may have sounded like nonsense were factual theorys based on scientific fact, so the writers must have researched these things.:lol:

Funny isn't it?Alot of scientists and doctors are big fans of the show because of this fact.That shows how different kind of fans this show has;)

I know that Sherwood Schwartz said that he has a degree in something that made it easy writing the big words becasuse they knew what they were

I remember Russell saying in the Season 3 intro for the DVD, that he had a tough time learning all those words.

it's ACTUALLY POSSIBLE to stop a volcano by throwing a bomb into it? (like he did in 1 episode).

I belevie that SOME of them were based on fact, but I highly doubt ALL of them were!!!!

I Didnt say all but alot of them were. for example in the episode where the space capsule fell to the island in this episode the professor stated that to get a signal to the astronauts from the island he would have to build a directional cone ( A dish antenna) which is exactly what would be needed to do such a thing.
